another medical exam again is not required for K visas

I read stories and wonder.

Wonder about doctors money making greediness and the way they treat people.

In homeland security office, what represents US government, I asked few times, and the answer is -

No!, who come here on K-visa and who had already medical exam during visa process, don't need anything else for medical, just immunization form.

Im dealing with the same problem...darn doctors say how can we complete the form if we dont see the patient. i said you can see him but you dont need to do a full medical exam because it has already been done. this is driving me crazy with these docs...ugh!! guess i have more calling to do.

I found a civil surgeon here in town who just took his immunization form from his medical exam, he wrote down what was necessary on the I-693a form, signed it, and we were good to go. Check around with your civil surgeons to see if you can find one that knows what he/she is doing.

(The only exception to this statement is if the I-485 is filed more than a year after the medical was performed.)

You forgot to mention the fee that they imposed. The amount of time that they spend to transcribe the immunizations from one form to the I-693a doesn't constitute the cost involved. Still all in all, I'm highly thankful that my wife and step-daughter's medical examination paperwork wasn't lost in the process of them moving here to the United States.

I believe it's a great "money making experience" for these Doctors. It's funny, you hear about more "bad" ones than "good" ones (who don't want to take all your money or force you to take another medical)

We were relieved to find one who knew what I was talking about and didn't try to force my husband to take another complete physical. It cost us $100.00 for him to fill out the form.....it was worth it to me just to have it done.

I hear so many people say that the civil surgeons insist that the medical exam is necessary in order for them to complete the vaccination supplement.

I truly believe they are just hoping that we don't know the rules and will agree to pay to have another unnecessary medical exam done along with the supplement, so they make more money. I also believe it should be USCIS's responsibility to make sure these civil surgeons know what the rules are and that they are kept accountable.

I called around to numerous civil surgeons to find one that was prepared to do the Vaccination Supplement without another medical exam, and the prices varied significantly.

We got one that did the Supplement for $35.00.
