Just something I noticed. Aren't you supposed to write "beneficiary" instead of "petitioner"?

I wouldn't worry too much about little things like this, as the cover letter is not a requirement and probably gets thrown away after the package has been opened and sorted.

Probably. But from other hand, immigration clerks deal with so many cases, so we can try to make their work easier and quick, so all our cases move faster too, so they can find things quickly and avoid RFE if something get lost or forgotten. I can imagine that some people just send one mess in some box. If everything looks nice that you spend time for this and for them easy to overlook, find and work with this, its worth to make your package look respectable and it can be benefit back.

Oh I agree about organizing your package nicely, and including a cover letter, I did both. However, what I was saying is that there is no need to get all worried about if you should put "beneficiary" or "petitioner" (or how to fasten everything together or any other of the little things people worry about). I'd guess that whoever does the actual work on your case never sees the cover letter, whoever opens up your envelope in Chicago and sorts it properly most likely tosses it. What matters is having everything required. In the long run, including a cover letter or fastening everything just right isn't going to make your case get processed any faster.

We used TAB folders and said A=what, B=what and so on.

- TAB A = Payment in the amount of $ 325 I-485 filling fee

- TAB B = Payment in the amount of $ 70 fingerprint fee

- TAB C = Form I-485

While this might give some extra weight or bulkness to your folder it just makes it a no brainer.

gud luck.
