Discrediting Gore is important, because of course, the whole issue of Global Warming was invented by Al Gore.

I discredit a socalled 'environmentalist' who tells everyone what they should do, runs around with a chicken little attitude concerning the environment, then spends 20 times what the average family does.

'Committed' would be for him to have signed up for wind energy in TN. Solar panels are all well and good, but when you're also consuming enough electric for 20 families, erm, it gets a lil silly.

Bottom line is, I'm not saying people should do this that or the other...but if you're going to take a public stand as a champion of a cause, don't be caught bein a hypocritical holier than thou 'do as I say not as I do' guy. It's embarrassing. And surely he should have learned from the 'I created the internet' debacle that people will use what's said and done as fodder.

At the end of the day, talk is cheap. His actions say everything. Now the funny thing would be....if this were a conservative, you'd be crucifying him/her right now. This is not a conservative/liberal angle...this is a you're a hypocrite angle. If you can't see past blind partisanship, then that's sad.

It's a little disingenuous for someone who doesn't believe that global warming is a problem to cry hypocrisy because Al Gore isn't living in an unheated shack. It's also disingenuous to believe that this is anything but an orchestrated political attack: if Al Gore offset his footprint by another 25%, there'd be another bored conservative pundit arguing that he was a hypocrite because it wasn't 50%.

Why should the climate not change?

BoreGore's "climatology theories" are reminiscent of Calvin (the comic character with the famous stuffed tiger who becomes real when none else around--and is usually somewhat smarter). He took a total of TWO natural science courses in college--and his grades were NOT impressive (reminiscent of the "time machine" cartoon where Calvin tells Hobbes, "I'd explain to you how it works, but it involves too much math"; Hobbes reply, "didn't you get a D in math?").

Obvious difference is that Calvin is a rambunctious 6-year-old (and actually realistic), where BoreGore is a 58-year-old who ham-acts like one!
