Got my biometric appointment today. 9/11 The appointment is for September 23rd at Atlanta Georgia. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the test appointment after fingerprinting is done?

Short answer - it depends.

Could be within weeks or months of your fingerprinting. The point at which you receive the interview letter is dictated by many factors including but not limited to whether you were subjected to an extended background search, when the national center forwards your immigration file to the field office, how quickly that field office is processing applications and how far you are from reaching your GC anniversary date. Basically you cannot be approved until you hit the 3yr or 5 yr anniversary depending on which one you are claiming.

I suggest you look at the monthly trackers to get a sense of the processing speed for your field office. All the best!!!!

I live in Chattanooga Tennesse also and it seems as though the process is going pretty quickly. I just checked my Case Status and is says "Case Is in line for an interview"

On September 28, 2015, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400.

My question is, how long did it take to get the interview notice in the mail after you got the noice online? Thanks!
