Just to get ready, we are started to gather the documents needed to NVC, the AOS and IV package.

*For AOS package

1. Form I-864 (sponsor)

2. Tax transcripts for the last 3 recent years

3. Employment verification (proof of employment and income)

4. Form I-864 (Joint Sponsor)

5. Joint Sponsor Tax transcripts for the last 3 recent years

6. Joint Sponsor Copy of US passport and birth certificate ( for proof of US citizenship)

7. Joint Sponsor Employment verification (proof of employment and income)

*For IV package

1. Two passport size photographs

2. Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

3. Photocopy of Birth Certificate

4. Photocopy of Marriage Certificate

5. Photocopy of NBI clearance (Police Clearance)

Are these documents enough? We want to have a smooth process in NVC and dont want to get a checklist. Thanks in advance for the answers

JUL-31-2015: Mailed I-130 Petition

AUG-03-2015: Delivered to Phoenix Lockbox

AUG-06-2015: Received NOA1 via text and email, file was routed to Nebraska

AUG-11-2015: Received NOA1 hard copy - PD: AUG-03-2015

AUG-31-2015: GOT APPROVED!! ? (27 days)

SEP-08-2015: Received NOA2 hard copy

SEP-10-2015: Mailed to NVC

NVC:

SEP-17-2015: NVC Received

SEP-28-2015: Case Number assigned

OCT-01-2015: Got Case number and IIN over the phone

OCT-02-2015: Received AOS Bill

OCT-02-2015: DS-261 filled up and submitted

OCT-12-2015: Pay AOS Fee (in process)

OCT-19-2015: AOS showed PAID

OCT-26-2015: DS-261 reviewed over the phone

OCT-29-2015: Received IV Fee bill

NOV-06-2015: Pay IV Fee (in process)

NOV-09-2015: IV showed PAID

NOV-09-2015: DS-260 filled up and submitted

NOV-12-2015: Sent AOS and IV package

NOV-16-2015: Package appeared "delivered"

NOV-17-2015: Scan date

DEC-22-2015: Case Complete

DEC-29-2015: Interview scheduled

DEC-30-2015: Received Interview Letter (P4)

MEDICAL:

JAN-19-2016: Medical Appointment at St. Luke's Medical Center PASSED!

US EMBASSY MANILA:<p>

FEB-09-2016: INTERVIEW APPROVED!! :dancing:

FEB-11-2016: VISA ISSUED

FEB-17-2016: VISA ON HAND

Copy of joint sponsor's passport is not needed. The copy of the birth certificate (provided they were born in the US) will satisfy requirements.

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

You used joint sponsor? I have been trying to find out if joint sponsor is ok for CR 1 visa, because i know its not ok for K1 visa in Manila, So im worried now.

By law, when an immigrant visa is being sought (such as a spousal visa), joint sponsors are allowed to satisfy I-864 requirements. All embassies and consulates follow the law in this regard.
