Filed: K-1 Visa Country: United Kingdom
Timeline

Make sure you check out the customs rule on bringing pets in from another country too, Im not sure what they are here in america so you may not have any problems, When my fiancee was here visiting me on one of his trips my cat had kittens and he feel in love with one of them, so I suggested he take it back with him, and he said it wouldnt be any good that customs would hold the kitten for a few months for some reason( I admit I dont really remember now what he said it was) and he didnt want that.

Scott and Misty Offcial Webpage!

How does it happen, Great love?... Noone knows.. But I what I do know is it happens in a blink of an eye. One minutes your happily living your life and the next your wondering how you ever lived without them.

Here is a company that you can use to handle the details for you:

http://www.petsonthemove.co.uk/

However, you can do everything yourself instead. You can contact the airlines to find out their regulations - be careful because it will soon be warm weather here and you will run into restrictions shipping an animal via cargo.

We ended up abandoning our plans to fly our boys (pugs) because of the health hazards and instead came over on the Queen Mary 2 since they have onboard kennels.

As for government regulations, all you need to do is find out the requirements of the state you will be moving to. Essentially all you need is proof of rabies vaccination and a form filled out by your vet there stating the animal is healthy to travel and certifying worm/tick/flea treatment 48 hours prior to travel. Easy-peasy!! (unlike when I came to the UK with my cats.....)

Good luck!
