How long would it take for the NVC to receive the case after the NOA2?

Hi

My(UK citizen) case was approved on 31st August on our 2nd wedding anniversary. on the 9th September my husband (US citizen) received the the notification in the post.

I guess it will take a while for the NVC to post out the package. we will continue to check our status.

All the best to all on this journey.

My case was approved August 25 at CSC also, but the status has not changed on the USCIS site. The NOA2 document in the mail says "We have sent the original visa petition to the DOSNVC" which is different wording than the website ("we will send").

Does the site always update? so many things seem to be inconsistent from one person to the next.

Just checked USCIS website to see our case and finally it says our case was sent to the Department of State on September 10, 2015. Hopefully in a week NVC will receive it.

I just received my i-797 approval notice today in the mail. Approved Sep. 1 on Case Status Online. i called USCIS CSR for a status update on my file if it was already sent to NVC. They told me they have 60 days to send. ive seen a lot of cases here that are sent after a week or 2. i guess i just need to wait. Do they email or text you when they send your case to NVC?

Great news! My case was received by NVC on sept 9, this is what told me on a phone today. I called Sept 10 to NVC and they told me my case was not received yet. Go figure ... at least, its there now!!! My NOA2 date is 8/25. I don't think information on USCIS is accurate , it says my case was sent to NVC on sept 8. It look one day only? Hard to believe!

Theyll ask you your receipt number.. I called them told me my case is not with them yet.. Obviously cause on the website its not even changed to sent to DOS just giving it a shot :)

Sept 1 may not be there yet. But call them anyway, they are not going to penalize you for that... In worse case scenario they will tell you your case was not received...
