Hi I'm actually a DV selectee but unfortunately my CN is high ?? so I'm looking to switch to student visa to reach my American dream, so i'm gonna give you my situation and you advise me of what should i do to get a student visa:

I'm a graduated person and i want to study an MBA in the US

I have a sister in states that can support me and pay my first year at least

I'm married and i have a house that i'm still paying his mortgage

So under all theses conditions do i have a chance of getting a student visa??? I mean sister will financially support me and my house and wife will work as a reason that I'm willing to comback "wich i do btw"

Thanks

Thanks guys for your replies;

I'm selected in the 2015 fiscal year and the last visa bulletin (September VB) shows up without reaching my CN (Case Number) so officially i'm out the race;

I know student visa is a non immigrant visa and i also know that i have to put in the table valid and strong reasons why i'm willing to comeback after being graduated;

I just want you to tell me is having a wife left behind and a house under mortgage will help convince the consular??!

Thanks

Visa shopping?

Dud WHAT country will be applying from, with that answer you will be told here if you can get

the visa or not....isn't that the answer you want?

I assume it is of significance as he will not answer, not that he has to.

The country he's from does not matter. If he doesn't have the money, he can't meet the I-20 and financial requirements for an F-1 student visa.

The answer he wants is how to get to the US, then he will figure out how to stay and the rest afterwards.

When the consular officer sees on his/her screen with the bio information of the applicant that he or she has applied and been selected, albeit with a very high number, and now that same person is asking for a non-immigrant visa, they will put 2 and 2 together and get the sum of 4, not 3 nor 5, and likely figure out what is motivating this application.

You've been selected for the DV lottery. Why not just wait on that?

Suggest you read the thread.

If you read the thread, you'd know I've posted here already. And I know about his american dream and his visa shopping. I know that he's super anxious to go to the US. But it seems his best chance is to just stick with the DV lottery.

The OP is not eligible for an immigrant visa since his 2015 DV number did not make the cutoff. The 2015 DV is now over. That's why he is looking at an F-1 student visa so he can get to the U.S.

Okay sorry, I'm still new to how the DV works. I saw some other person with a high case number who just said he had to wait longer before it was his turn to apply for a visa. My bad if I was misinformed.

Do not know which Country he is in but the chance every year is minimal. It is a lottery.

The country matters. High fraud countries the chances of a visa decrease, if you will, and your application will most likely be scrutinized more. Could you disclose your country?

I got my student visa with a sponsor's help, did not provide my own bank statement. BUT like other's have mentioned you clearly have intentions to immigrate which is evident from the DV (and your "American Dream" statement). So that does not do you any favors. Only way to know what your chances are is to apply, no one on here can tell you.

Can you clear up a very important detail that you apparently haven't told us... According to your timeline you abandoned a Cr-1 visa right before the interview stage... Did your wife move to live with you in your home country? Or did you just fill out your timeline completely wrong?
