Parents wants to go back to home country before getting their Green card

Hi Friends

My friend's parents just came to US around 3 months ago, and still waiting their Green card and wanna go back to home country because of emergency situation. so what are their options ?

( when they check with immigration they told them to wait for 45 days)

1. can they go back to home country and then their son will send their green card via fedex or he will go back by himself to give them their Green crad to the home country ?

2. did they have to stay here untill unless they didn't get their greencrad ? Is there a possibilty for another interview for them here in US ?

(Their Visa is going to expire in Oct i think)

Any other suggestions that i forget to ask from you friends... What are their options ?

You should see that on their visa in their passport, it says "Upon endorsement, serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year."

Also, if on their way back when re-entering the US, they will have their green card then I don't see a problem at all. They're allowed to travel to their home country since they're citizens of that country and when they come back to the US, they'll have their green card so it should be fine.

Also, I don't know if you want to risk mailing something as important as GCs abroad especially but, that I think depends on your country.

Now in detailed

My friend is US citizen (originally from india) and he applied for his parents,and his parents came to US from india when their Green card interview was cleared. (interview was on 4th of april 2015) and they came to US, and their IV catergory visa is expired on 16 sep. 2015. but they have Temporary I-551 evidence permanent Residence for 1 year on their visa.

but because of family emergency they are going to back to india (already got ticket ) on 23rd of september. so now my questions

1. will they be ok to travel back to india without their GC. (they still didn't receive their GC)

2. Can they come back to US with that Temporary I-551 evidence permanent Residence for 1 year on their visa.

what if their GC printed out with mistake like DOB is wrong.. or sex gender is wrong on their Greencard. ?

So what options they have ?

SORRY TO ASK AGAIN THAT SAME QUESTION. but justwant to make sure

1. yes

2. yes. That visa is no longer a visa but turned into a GC for all effects and purposes

3. If there is an error on the plastic GC they can get it replaced by filing I-90

I have all their info. Their Passport visa picture.. Residence address... DOB etc etc.. all the data.. becuase he told me to help out for this process .. and we are friends from back of our home country. :) even i have contacts with college friends from 2000 (I was 15 then was doing diploma) and also helping another friend with his wife's case. ( this is other friend.. not the same one for parents case :) )

And also for the friend on his parents case.. his mom 's GC already came.. on Saturday.. but still waiting for his dad's GC... And also got picture of GC via whatsapp...

I am helping those friends beacuse of my job is 9 to 5 infront of computer and theirs is not..
