We're hoping to file everything by the end of this month! Fingers crossed... We are meeting with an immigration attorney for our consultation and have everything ready to go except for the medical exam. Can anyone point me in the direction to a thread that discusses the process for that (finding a doctor, scheduling appointment, etc.)?

I think if you visit the USCIS.gov webpage and write 1-693 doctors you will have a page that have all the approve clinics to do the medical exam. I did it that way, I wrote down all the clinics names near to my area and I called them by phone because they all have different prices, also make sure you have your vaccines card because depending on your age they do the X Ray, I didn't got the X Ray but they gave me some shots. One clinic wanted to charge me 550 and in the one I got it done charged me $400. But it took 7 days to get the sealed envelope.

Hope this can help you.

Yes, very helpful! Thank you! I knew there would be a cost for this...as I'm assuming health insurance probably wouldn't cover this type of exam? $400 seems like a lot once you add that to all the other fees associated with this process!

I wrote a full detailed account of our AOS process, timeline, AP use, and interview on my blog. You can read it here.

Well I don't have health insurance because I'm adjusting from B2 visa and they wanted to charge my husband 10 times more to add me without SSN but if you have US health insurance I believe it will help you, because the clinics have there own docs. To fill and they ask what is your health insurance and primary physician if applicable. So if you have health insurance it wouldn't harm to ask. Who knows maybe you will pay less!

Good to know! I just called the closest doctor to me and they said that no medical insurance covers immigration examinations, but they potentially cover the vaccines.

Yes, because my vaccines were not covered that's the reason I payed more, I believe the price was around $260 for medical only but as I told you the price is different in each clinic, even USCIS in their page states that there is no fix price, ahh this is the page

http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/immigration-medical-examinations/finding-medical-doctor Hope you can find your physician and make sure he is authorized to make medical exam for I-693 for green card

I just realize we made a mistake filling the american citizen (husband) form G-325A in the I-130 package, we checked the box Adjustment of Status In the question that asks The Form Is submitted in connection with:
My friend who I asked for info on how to fill the form, looked at her own records from when she sent the paperwork and she had checked the same box as me and did not get an RFE, but I have seen some people in another forum saying they got an RFE...anyone has any experience on that?
