NSO changed name to PSA

Embassy letter now says we need docs from PSA.

Does anyone know if NSO docs issued recently are still valid or do we have to go back and get docs from the new name, PSA? Seems obviously that embassy should accept NSO docs but thought I'd check if anyone has confirmed this?

Thanks

Wasn't aware that they had started using PSA name already. But NSO documents have no expiration date printed on them and should still be valid. But had the wife check the copies of marriage and birth cers she just got last month and their both PSA but the older copies I have are NSO.

I just spent some time calling USEM help line - apparently NSO docs are ok..... :)

Thanks, but now that I know the name change we will use the PSA but keep the NSO.

NSO documents are fine and still valid. PSA is the new name and is NSO renamed. This took place about 6 months ago.

Be sure that your PSA/NSO and CENOMAR are no older then six months at the time of your interview. If they are older or will age out, get new ones.

CEMAR is what you get for married persons right? Not CENOMAR? Embassy letter said CENOMAR but that's certificate of no marriage so doesn't make sense?

Also which docs can't be older than 6 months?

Here is the list that we put together of docs my wife will take to the interview:

PSA/NSO birth cert + copy

PSA/NSO marriage cert + copy

PSA/NSO CENOMAR + copy

Medical exam results packet unopened

NBI clearance issued in last 12 months + copy

valid passport + copy of bio page

DS-260 confirm page

4 visa sized photos (2x2)

NOA2 copy

proof of relationship

I-864 AOS

US ITR 2014

work W2

work pay stubs

copy of email letter from USEM that we recently received listing docs that are needed

NVC letter with case # (not sure what this is?)

appointment confirm page (I think this is the doc named mnl2015xxxxxx - std p4 app (15oct2014).pdf sent in email by NVC)

Can you post the link for the "new" Embassy Letter for the Philippines. Thanks.

I don't have a link, just something I got in email. NVC sent us one letter that had a list of codes then for each doc a code was giving that showed whether the doc is needed or already received and sent to USEM. Then I got another letter from USEM saying the case was at USEM and giving a list of docs that my wife needs to bring to the interview. Both were emails.

When you apply for your CENOMAR they will determine which you need. Singles get CENOMAR and Married get CENAMAR.

Correction: Embassy doesn't like the CENOMAR or NBI to be more than 6 mos. old.

There is not a link, only an email. But here it is in its entirety. Maybe you know, but I really dont if this is just a generic email or not.

Yes they are still good. The NSO/PSA name change has been going on since early this year, embassy is aware and will have no issue with it stating NSO.
