We only sent our marriage certificate/license and I think 3 wedding pictures and as a proof and my husband wrote a letter saying that I visited him 3 times and that he paid for my tickets that was also another proof and we got approved!

hi there

I totally can relate and I have to say if you can see him as many times as you can , even if you cannot stay that long..it's not a guarantee but it looks very good to see you came as much as you could even if you cannot stay long because it shows a desire to spend whatever time you can with him. Before anyone says anything about my post I'll add that it was a HUGE factor in my case as told to me by the officer we talked to at the interview. One other thing, If you have to move heaven and earth to be with him at the interview DO IT! even if you are at a embassy that you cannot go in ( we were at Delhi and it is allowed but I think mumbai you can't?) Your spouse will be able to say at least that you are there waiting if they need to talk to you. It's helped many people. Anyhow, just know many people have been there andyou're not alone. Wish you the best and just be sure to document EVERYthing even things you think may not count!

Wow this is all very helpful! Thank you (: Im going to try to get back to him after the petition is approved so we can wait together for the rest of the process.

Another thing Im worried about is the fact that my husband tried twice in the past to get a student visa to study here but was rejected both times. Im a bit worried that will affect things.

He may invite extra scrutiny at interview for the student visa attempts (if he comes across to the IO as desperate to reach the US).

But overall, as a spouse visa applicant, he should be able to overcome the scrutiny.

Ok so it shouldn't affect the petition being approved? Im most worried about that because Im not gonna be able to go back to India and see my husband until after its approved (long story.)

Your petition was approved fast, I wonder why that happens to some and not others?

A majority of spouses get approved, but I don't have statistics to back that claim. I'd prepare for closer scrutiny based on circumstances described.

That being said, evidence presented in support of a bonafide relationship is key.

I can say that with the things you have already submitted as far as I have read.. there doesnt seem to be any problem the jumps out at me for you to get the NOA1 and if you are going to actually go and stay with him until the remainder process if done it's sounds pretty solid. That being said of course I am not in control of it nor am I saying it is guaranteed. BUT if it were me I would relax and prepare the remainder of the process and when you get to be with him after the NOA1 I would again DOCUMENT absoulutely everything so by the time you have to submit more evidence or for the interview you will be MEGA prepared. Are you guys going through Delhi? Feel free to private message me as if you have questions..

There are a few things in our case that Im worried about the most. My husband and I met online (not through a dating website or anything, just a forum), we were only physically together for 5 months (though technically we've been together for almost 3 years now), and he's from India, a high fraud country. Also I don't have a job, the hubby takes care of everything. These are all things Im nervous will pop up as red flags and will get our petition denied or the process even more stretched out.

Well he isn't paying for the process, I've paid for it with money from a family member. And it came out of my bank account. There is nothing that shows he's paid for any part of the process.

I believe that I may be in the same ⛵. In one of the replies it mentions, "side-loading," in IV Package. I've attempted to find information on what that entails but am unable to find anything. I'm not at that phase yet, NVC, I'm still awaiting NOA2 from CSC (almost 2 mos in) and don't anticipate that I will hear anything for another 3 months (according to timelines listed on VJ and official processing times). In the interim, anything that I can do to be better prepared will be helpful (AoS is already completed with supporting documentation), so I'm a any insight on IV Package or pointing in the direction of information would be helpful. FYI...I have gone to the NVC site and read their process and steps...specifically IV Package.

Thanks
