Today is as blah and patooey as yesterday was. Blah and patooey I say! Moh is extremely sick, so I have to take him to the doctor tonight. 3 days of high fever is scary stuff. I also get to chauffer everyone and his dog around as soon as I get off work so it should be an eventful evening. Today my job is my break. Ha ha. My stupid probationary period officially ends in 7 days and I will be so relieved. It absolutely SUCKS not being able to take any time off work. Flex time ended so my hands have been tied. Yesterday I was warned for having to drive Moh home when he got ill at work (and I'm well on my way to a 50 hour week). 4 months of being hog tied. I just need to get through the next 7 days without any incidents... *holding breath*

Holy #######...that sounds like slave conditions to me. No way would I function in that type of working environment. My job may be boring as hell but at least I have understanding bosses and a laid back office . I pretty much come and go as I please (within limits). Our full time is 35 hrs a week...the rest is gravy. Thank God for this job and work environment.

Sorry you and Moh are having a rough time these past few days (F)

Just called Moh. His fever is soaring and I cannot leave here to help him. He sounds so shakey. This is 3 days of high fever and I cannot get him to the doctor until tonight. God bless urgent care facilities. I hope his new employer will be understanding. I'll get it in writing from the doc tonight. Hopefully that will cover him, but who knows...

(yes I'm worried sick)

I agree. Your family's health has to come first. Especially if a high fever is involved!!

(yes I'm worried sick)

Keep in mind tat a high fever is not a dangerous thing unless it reaches extremely high temps (above 103-104) and that feveers are a good thing medically speaking- a sign that your body is working off an infection. WHERE are our house docs when we need them????

What is he taking to moderate the temp? does tylenol work? he can also use cool towels to bring the temp down until you get him into the doctor, but if its say 101degrees then don;t worry so much about the fever, you have time to get him in to the doctors, be sure he is drinking lots of fluid so his body doesnt get dehydrated.

I have to say that today and yesterday have been stressful...my aunt [who is more like a mom to me for SEVERAL years now] suffered a severe stroke yesterday morning and for the most part yesterday was in and out of it and totally non-verbal. Today seemed to go a little better for her [iMO] Speech Pathology came in and worked with her and evaluated her responsiveness. Also PT came in and she was able to take a couple of steps with them. Waiting to find out which intensive PT/OT clinic she'll be transfered to so we realy know how much she can recover.

Those who practice religion----any and all prayers for her recovery would be gratefully appreciated.
