September 2015 CR1 filers

Our thread has been quiet. Mostly I'm not thinking about it much. I moved to Egypt to be with my husband because we didn't want to be apart for so long. I really feel for the people waiting in separate countries, that's really hard. God willing everyone will start getting approvals soon.

Hello everyone

I sent our I-130 packet to:

• the Arizona lock box on Sept 5th 2015
• received date = Sept 8
• although I am geographically in the California area, ours was sent to the Texas center
• hard copy NOA1 recvd with notice date Sept 10
• the receipt number with USCIS online shows last updated Sept 16

I may have misunderstood but I thought about 1 month after packet is recvd, I would receive another notification?

Should I be concerned ...does the sept 16th date have any significance?

or is everything progressing as expected? (meaning I wait for the approx 5 month mark for additional action?)

If you already got your NOA1 now its waiting game....Waiting period is 5 months at least that's what the uscis website reads for all service centers....Am also waiting my priority date is 14th Sep 2015 California service center.Be patient all is well...

hey Girv California received my file on sept 1 and I am waiting on NOA2 I hear if u call the tell u 5 month but California is processing fast 2 to 3 month depends so we just have to wait & c but if u want u can still call if u want to feel satisfy.

I guess just wait before you call. I many August filers to California are being recently accepted,so Cali is dealing with August filers now. Your turn will come soon ☺️. All the very best ?

Hi Girv, I'd say just keep checking the status of your case on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

I was doing that and just found out that our case was approved on November 3rd! And our priority date was October 5th, so California is processing some cases from October now. We haven't received the NOA-2 yet.

Yes, that would be NOA-2 that you will get in a few days in the mail. If you filled out and filed form G-1145 together with your I-130, you should also receive the NOA-2 by email or text.

VJ's time estimate in my case was right on target, VJ estimated my NOA2 between Nov 4th and Nov 15th. I received my NOA2 yesterday November 4th.

Mine is in Nebraska too but ots in May 25 as showing.
