It could be anything. Sometimes they even lose something and just need you to resend it. As they said in the email, the actual letter will tell you what. Try not to panic too much. I know no one wants to hear that when panicking though.

Good luck

Stay calm, you will get via snail mail the RFE this Tuesday or Wednesday depending on where your husband is west or east coast.

Reply complying the RFE ASAP, the sooner they get it back, the sooner the approve your I-130. It will be matter of days.

Do you have a copy of the package you send to USCIS? If you do go over it.

Common mistakes are:

Gaps in dates during last 5 years.

Wet signatures are required, copies are not accepted

At the bottom of the G-325A your name must be hand written in block letters, not typed. (In many languages, print is translated as machine typed. That is incorrect. Print your name in english means: Hand write your name in block letters).

Bonafide marriage evidence.

Poor translations.

Missing documents.

Good luck.

I do not want to jink you.

But ask yourself why the G-325A will have you type your name twice? They want you to print (hand written in block letters)your name near the signature because most signatures are illegible.

Good luck and I hope you do not get an RFE. Other issue is the "wet signature", it is recomendé to sign in blue ink so the adjudicator knows for certain is not a photocopy or printed soft copy.

Some black inks are verify difficult to distinguish from the black ink in your printer. I heard about these RFE in a seminar given in our church by an immigration attorney.

Well- that just threw me OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Jesus. I definitely typed that part. But i honestly don't think it would be an issue????? I mean it is weird that they would ask for it twice but not even. If they specifically wanted that in pen I am sure it would be much more clearer. I am also sure we are not the only ones who have done this and I just doubt that people who do get an RFE for this #######. Oh gosh. Well my NOA1 date is Sept 15 so if that’s going to be an issue I should know very very soon. Yikesss

Also, one of my friends just went through this process and I helped them through. We typed in that bottom part and she received her acceptance 5 months exactly.

Soo maybe its a luck thing IDK.

Also, to add to the above. As for as I know, USCIS encourages applicants /petitioners to fill these forms online as PDF Forms for accuracy. Having said that, they provide such forms in such way that we can fill in there and then. If you place close attention to PDF fillable forms, you see that spaces that are “blue” are spaces where we should type in. However, spaces where it remains BLANK and not BLUE, are the spaces where pen should be used. Specifically the signature box- it does not turn blue meaning it should not be “typed” in but rather written with “wet” ink. So, the G-325A form is no different. Boxes where it turns blue ( including this last box asking to "print Name") does indeed become blue and available to type in.

Anyways, this is just my analysis to bring calm to our minds. But thanks for bringing that up its better to be aware and ready for anything and everything – and I agree with you.

we did everything on computer except the signatures and sometimes something which we couldnot do on computers :( hopefully you wont and nobody does this feeling is horrible.
