Don't lose hope. I'm at Nebraska too. It's coming we just have to be really patient. I'm expecting to hear something in February as well.

I got my case approved in nvc but they assigned it to the wrong embassy. I emailed them to correct it and im still waiting for their response.

Wow never knew September filers already got accepted. Im in Nebraska Center too but didn't get anything and not expecting before February anyway. August filers are slowly getting accepted. Don't lose hope... All the best

Nebraska is currently processing NOA1s from August:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=a&op2=d&op3=5&op4=7&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=Nebraska%20Service%20Center&op66=All&op7=All&dfile=No&adv=0

There are about 120 Nebraska cases registered here in VJ with NOA1 waiting for NOA2.

I wish you luck and also I believe it is very unfair the difference in service among USCIS Service Centers, we all pay the same fees therefore we all should receive fairly the same service. I really feel for you guys.

I really feel sorry for you, I do not want to point fingers to any one but the facts show something fishy is going in Nebraska and Philippines.

After August 26 2015, Philipines is the only country with approved cases, not 1 but 6 cases and on top of that to put the icing on the cake, they mistakenly routed your case to Philipines. I let you guys be the judges. Some one should be investigating on what is going on in there. I read on an earlier thread it was due to a typhoon.

Note: France has 1 case approved with NOA1 after August 2015.

I am not sure about the typhoon. I thought that benefit was 2 years ago and might have expired already? Im not sure. For people who were affected by the typhoon, they need to provide pictures/proof that they were affected. I didnt. So I dont know what the deal is with NVC. I am just disappointed how they handled my case. Just because I was born in Philippines doesnt mean I still live there. I have my current Canadian address entered multiple times in my application more than my place of birth. I also provided them my Canadian passport, employment letter, house purchase, etc. that prove I live in Canada. But oh well. Happy New Year!!

First of all, in any case except life and death situation, you are not allowed to travel on a non-immigrant visitor visa to usa if your are married and has filled a petition.

in your case, you have change your passport and your name on the passport, which make your USA visitor visa invalid. This is because when you renew or change name in your passport you are require to update your USA non-immigrant visitor visa info by going to the embassy after which the embassy pastes an updated visa page to your new/renewed passport.

Therefore I suggest you wait for your approval of your petition or apply for K-1 visa.

Best of luck.

This information as far as I'm aware is incorrect.

1. You cannot apply for a K-1 visa which is a fiance visa if you are already married.

2. I have filed my I-130 and have visited my husband twice on my B1/b2 visa. I just came back from spending Christmas with him and I'll be returning soon to attend his graduation. Your visitors visa does not become invalid unless this is something that is specific to India. I have never heard of this before.

3. The procedure is to travel with both passports, the one with your maiden name which has your visa, and the new one with your new name, plus your marriage certificate and evidence that you plan to return to India ( e.g. letter from employee, student status letter if you are a student, return ticket etc.)

Also, there is a whole topic here

I hope that link works. If not do a search for "yes you can visit"

Best of luck to you.

They seem to be working on August filers now. There is a forum for Nebraska filers. Last person who commented had filed August 10th. I think it's def gonna be February for us September filers.

I'm growing impatient now as well. I was fine before but I find myself checking my case online every other day now ?
