Hong Kong CNCC clearances for K-1 Visa

My Filipina fiancee worked in Hong Kong for a while, so that's on our list of clearances we need. We've been going over the documents and had a couple of questions. Anyone have experience (especially recent) with the HK CNCC for a foreign worker?

Here's our present questions:

1) Country for which visa application has been made would be USA, correct?

2) Purpose of Application - Would selecting 3 and writing in USA K-1 Fiancee Visa be appropriate? If so, that means IMMIGRATION CLASS section is left blank because it doesn't apply?

3) Type of traveling document held would be her Philippines passport, correct?

4) When Length of Stay specifies "in complete year", are they asking how many 365 day periods have been completed, ignoring any extra months, or asking you to round up as though a partial year were a full year? Or maybe it's simpler to ask directly, how many years would you write for Feb 2011 - August 2012? 1 year, or 2?

5) Educational attainment, do you check all that apply, or just the highest one?

6) Am I correct that since she was on her Philippine passport and never an HK citizen, she doesn't complete anything on the bottom block below the "To be completed by persons who held Hong Kong travel documents ONLY" note?

Are there any other sections that either don't need to be filled out for a Filipino worker or that have unusual things of which we should be aware when filling them out?

Did you ever get the answers to these questions? I am filling out this form as well.

Not really, but we finally just went ahead with our own best guesses, and we got her CNCC. If there's some specific ones you have questions about, feel free to ask here or message me directly and I'll try to compare with what we did and see if that helps.

Hi. Thanks for responding. Really glad I found your post here. The specific ones I am interested in are:

2) Purpose of Application - Would selecting 3 and writing in USA K-1 Fiancee Visa be appropriate? If so, that means IMMIGRATION CLASS section is left blank because it doesn't apply?

3) Type of traveling document held would be her Philippines passport, correct?

What did you guy end up using/doing for these? I will emulate what you did since you were successful in obtaining the required document.

Also is there a place for name and address on this document (ds-1415e)? I was going to write it in the top near the date since it is not a clear space to add it.

2 - we ended up selecting 3 and writing in the USA K-1 Fiancee Visa, yes. And the immigration class did not apply.

3 - yes, that would be her passport

6 - yes, we left anything below the "to be completed by persons who held Hong Kong travel documents" blank.

My fiancee said the 172a form has the place for name and address. 172b-e is the finger print consent form, with signature and date. and dcs-1415e with the other information. There's not really a place provided for other information on the forms. I'm guessing you're looking at how they know which form is which, and I think the answer is that it depends on them handling them correctly and not dropping anything :D

Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Exactly what I was looking for. And for the no name on the dcs-1415e, seems like one badly placed fan turned on high in the office could wreak havoc. Maybe I will staple it. Lol
