I have a child who is now 5 years old and at the time of birth I was a US resident and child was not born within US territory, and just this past May I became a USA citizen. Can I get a CRBA for my child at the corresponding US embassy.

Please help me on figuring out the process for my child.

Thanks

No you can not, what you need to do is process an I130 for the child and as soon as they step into the US they are a citizen. You need the immigrant visa but you can file an I864w because the child is automatically a citizen and eligible for services.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Child is in Colombia and has never been to the US and does not have a US Visa.

In that case the only option you have, like NigeriaorBust already pointed out, is filing an I-130 for a green card for your cchild. Upon entry in the US, and you beeing with him, your child will gain USC under the Child Citizenship Act.

For more info about this you can read this post. But only the section

--Automatic Citizenship through the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 (CCA)--

would be relevant for you.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...
