I paid for k-1 visa fee at the BPI branch on UN ave. today at 9:20am with my fiancee. It's been more than 14 hours since we've paid, USEM system doesn't recognize the MRV number yet. Is it possible that the MRV number is not valid although exp. date shows end of Sept.? How soon does payment go into the system?

Normally upwards of 24 hours (yes I know it states much quicker on the embassy website, but I have yet to have someone say their's showed up that quickly). Holidays and weekends do not count.

I did it the same day, not sure the exact time but it was less than 24 hours. I realize that's not the norm though...

You are using the bpi receipt number printed on the back of slip given to here by bpi right? Not the one that's on the paper you printed out to go to bpi with?

Don't use the MRV deposit slip number.....use the receipt number given by bpi. I can tell that's the problem here....

You were right. I tried again this morning and it worked fine. However they didn't open Oct. calendar yet so I can't schedule an appointment.

thanks to all.

It runs 12-24 hours, but I was lazy with my typing. :)
