Hello all!

Last Monday my fiancé and I were approved for our visa and I've been going through ceac and ustraveldocs to track the status of the visa and each site is saying there is no record of the number I am submitting or no status update when I go through traveldocs and enter in passport number. Any advice on how to better locate the status of the visa?

Hi,

My fiancé interview was on August 25, 2015 and we are still waiting, we were told 1 week by the CO. But it has been 13 days and counting, when I last checked CEAC it said issued and in final processing on September 3, 2015. And if he hasn't received it in 10 business days call the consulate, the DHL will email when the visa is ready for pick-up.

So you are not alone in the waiting game.

  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017

Use the same number you got from NVC...what have you been using?

I have been using the number I received from the NVC. I just dont know if I am using the wrong part of the Ceac to track the status...

Oh goodness :-(. Seems like it is a hurry up and wait game. Where do you go to check the processing of the visa on CEAC?

So it is listing as still ready from where it was at the time of the interview.... Im guessing they are still behind on updating the website?

Glad you figured it out. I know we aren't at the same embassy, but mine stayed on REDAY for interview for three weeks then all in one day went to ap to issued.

Yes they are, I checked that website all day every day since the interview. Don't feel that way, I just prepared myself a long wait.

  • As of October 4, 2016 Still waiting for RFE hardcopy to come in the mail, called USCIS on September 30, 2016 no help.
  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017

And have/ did either or your fiancé's gone in person to check with the DHL to see if it was there before they emailed the notice? The status for my fiancé's visa hasn't even been updated since the day of the interview last week.

Yes they are, I checked that website all day every day since the interview. Don't feel that way, I just prepared myself a long wait.

Only a little frustrating that they tell you 7-10 days but in reality its much longer! Lol.

Is it normal that ours hasnt even been updated since the interview and there is no status issued when you track it on Ustraveldocs?? Is there any way to track the passport at all no matter if the website has been updated or not???

I wish it was but it's not, I have even emailed them to find out any new updates still the same thing. This is the email I used passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com. I guess they tell everybody the same standard answer at the interview that your visa will be ready in 1 week when it will be ready when they fill like getting it ready. And my fiancé lives in the Dominican Republic and he is ready to go back to work so he cant leave until he gets his visa back.

That is so difficult! Yeah, with them taking my fiance's passport, he wont be able to pick up money if I send him any for traveling or what not, has your fiance had a place to stay??? I wish that was handled better on the governments end! Yes, he is staying with his family they still live in Haiti. But the only thing we can do is wait patiently, and I do mean patiently. :cry::whistle:
