I called the NVC and got our case number and had my wife email them with me as the choice. I didnt realize I had to wait for the Sometime afterwards for the DS3032 to be generated. Will this cause a problem if she already emailed them and it hasnt been generated?

If I recall correctly from the shortcuts link... as soon as you have a case number you can email the choice of agent.

It shouldn't. Call again in a week and see i they have you listed. If not, email it again. There is some overalap at this point that seems to have no consequences for screwing it up.

I call the NVC often to ask them questions. You can tell they are highly tutored in not telling you information. But as a person who deals with the government on a weekly basis, I find the people at the USCIS and NVC centers to be some of the most helpful and friendly people I deal with.

Next to the small claims court clerk I deal with every week, they are my favorite government people. Next would be the immigration people in San Francisco and at LAX. Dead last would be the mindless customs zombies at LAX. They question legal things and let everything short of anthrax through without a second glance. Its almost like a negative universe at customs in LAX....

when does the NVC received and gave u a case number?

mine was jan 29 ( MNL2007529*** 529-500= 29, its the 29th day of the year)then they generate the ds3032 and i-864 bill on feb 5.

i send them my choice of agent feb 5..

I had my wife email it out as soon as we got a case number. We hadn't heard from them for over a week, so I emailed them asking about it. They sent a response 2 days later saying they had recieved it. My wife still hasn't received a conformation though.

The email reply was confirmation - the next thing that should go out to the Agent is the IV Fee Bill.

ETA: I see what you mean, your wife emailed and they did not respond to her. But they acknowledged to you that they have received the Choice of Agent? You could have your wife email again if you're concerned, but if they say they've received it and name the correct agent, that sounds okay.

Just download a copy of the form and mail it in. Can she D/L a copy from her location? Otherwise you can mail her one to sign.

PS: Anyone see the irony in the fact that this week we have the opening of the Mexican border to Mexican truckers to begin bringing in goods in their own trucks and there is almost no requirement for visas. In the meantime, legally married Americans can't even get a tourist visa for their spouses to come into the country. If only China was a NAFTA country. I'd just get the wife a commercial driver's license and send her one of my trucks. At the border when she's stopped and asked what her cargo is, she could say, "80,000 poounds of kisses. Out of my way, gringo."

None of the government I pay for. All the government we deserve.
