Hello VJ Folk,

After reviewing quite a few posts and guides, new and old, I've noticed that some believe that questions vary by embassy and that embassies have their typical list of questioning perhaps influenced by cultural norms and/or expectations. I'm wondering if there is truth to this and if so what are the typical standard questions one might expect from the Kingston embassy?

Thanks for any insight u might have :-)

I think they ask the basics like what's on your petition. My husband's interview is Friday morning in Kingston so I've been asking everything. You never know if your IO is in a pissy mood or woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day. Like Jawaree says he/she should know everything about you.

It's me. I might be a little paranoid. My fiancé has asked me where I worked. Well the building name is made up of 8 words. I told him the abbreviation because my initial thought was that should be enough but he's convinced he needs to know every micro detail about me. Maybe he's right.

My husband is TIRED you hear me (lol)TIRED of my @$$! I drill him on what's app, over Oovoo, and every time we talk with random stuff. I'm a perfectionists so I need him to have it together. I'm paranoid also...it was easier filing for my mom....less stress.

I think questions are asked based on the petition and how much info was given to provide a bonifed relationship. Some people including myself was only asked three questions while some up to ten or more. Take a look at some Ja member timeline, and the Jamaica Embassy review section.. few people write a review and the the questions that were asked

Our questions were based on the petition, evidence submitted, and the story of how we met and continued our relationship.

Read the reviews to get the basic questions everyone is asked.

Thank you all so much. This has been helpful. Now I understand why we send the 129f petition to the beneficiary. I'll be seeing him soon :-) and will be able to go over it in what will most likely be a month or so before the interview. The one thing I'm certain of is that I messed up his address. No matter how many times he has sent it to me I screw it up. The P.O. thing I just don't get. I tried my best and when I asked the info pass people in the dc branch (I had other questions too) the didn't have a clue. Oh well...thanks again for the advice.
