CR-1 Beneficiary Moving Countries During NVC?

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone could give us some advice about moving countries within the EU during NVC/Embassy stage.

We live in Amsterdam, though my husband (Swiss-citizen with "foreign state chargeability" to Italy) has an opportunity to work in Italy for the next few months. We are currently at the NVC stage of our process having submitted all documents and are awaiting Case Complete.

Would it be possible to change our Embassy from Amsterdam? We have no ties to Amsterdam except that it is where my issued residence/work permit is, though I intend to move back to the US soon to re-establish domicile. I know we can change address online, but what about country?

The Embassy in Rome also does DCF, would that apply to us even though we're at NVC stage?

If anybody has any insights, we'd appreciate it! (F)

09/02/2015: DS-260 Completed

10/07/2015: NVC flagged for Supervisor Review

10/08/2015: Case Complete!!!

10/09/2015: Interview Date Scheduled

10/13/2015: P4 Interview Letter Received

DCF is only when filing the I-130, you're past that point and it's not relevant.

Your husband will have to contact the Consulate in Napoli and show proof of living in Italia. The Consulate will then have to request the file be transferred to them from the Embassy in Amsterdam.

September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
