My wife and I already married and submitted everything to the courthouse today, so it's official. Is it a good idea or a bad idea to go to Social Security and simply lie that we ever married? I wasn't aware that we should have done SS first. Anyone else ever do that?

I wouldn't call that fraud, I think Ide use the words, 'play dumb.' And, trust me, if America had a law against dumb people, we wouldn't... well, we wouldn't be in the sad state that we are now, that's for sure.
