Sujeet still compares US prices to India prices all the time, and doesn't like spending money.

That is something that can spark arguments. :D

He's actually opposite a lot of usual annoying qualities in men....he doesn't like watching sports (unless it was cricket but that's not on Tv here anyway), he doesn't like going to stores like Home Depot to buy a tool or something, he doesn't like being messy, he doesn't care about looking at nice cars or car shows(thank God). He likes to cook, and he likes to clean. Well, I do those things but sometimes he helps out if there is a lot. He also likes ironing his own clothes, because I don't do it very well(hey I never iron).

If you can talk and watch TV at the same time, I assume you never have to ask your husband what the storyline is? :innocent:

awww, just got to this thread....I didn't want to say anything mean with him going away for the weekend....but hey... :D

What ticks me off is how he can walk through a room in the house, and NOT notice that it looks like a twister has gone through it or that it looks like a street scene from Beirut. He just doesn't see disorder. He's got blinders on. And then he can sit in his computer/playstation/etc room, and have dishes on several surfaces, beer bottles, his game stuff, a sweater here or there, an explosion of newpapers and other junk, and just not see it...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!:angry::angry:

The same goes with dishes...since the one who doesn't cook is suppose to wash dishes in our house (HA..YEAH RIGHT!!!)...you'd think he'd just do them...but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, he wants to stack them up till there is a sink full. At that point they become nasty and harder to clean, so who does them more often than not...ME!:angry::angry:

Finally, the last of his mess-cat ways come in the bedroom...his clothes get deposited right where he gets in bed (mind you, this is roughly 4 feet from the clothes hamper, but he can't seem to make it that far), and if I didn't pick up his dirty underoos, smelly socks, and the rest, they'd stay there with me having to high-jump over them to get out of the room. He just sludges through them apparently...:angry::angry:

All of these things seem to be quite normally male things though...

Ok...I just had to jump in with some of my husbands not so nice habits.

He does all the "normal" guy things...dirty clothes everywhere, dirty dishes stacking up for days, he can sit in filth and not notice, snores so loud etc.

The thing he does that drives me so crazy is answer the phone and take a message but then never give it to me. Since he hasn't been able to work he is home in the days. He ALWAYS answers the phone even though I told him he can just check the caller id and let the answering machine get it if its one of my friends or someone he doesn’t know...but no he has to answer it and take a message that I never will get...or if I do get it it's days later

Our kitchen trash is under the sink. It is a small garbage can so it can't accomodate big items...like pizza boxes, plastic pop bottles, boxes of any kind, those kind of things. So instead of just running the 15 feet out the back door (which is right off the kitchen) and put it in the outside bin he shoves it in amongst all the cleaning supplies under the sink as well. The other day I opened it up to have 2-3 pizza boxes, a couple of old wine bottles that have been there for weeks, at least a dozen empty food boxes. Tell me...why can't they be put in the bin outside?! Why do they need to collect under our sink?!?

Last one (I promise – I love my husband I really do  ) We have about 100 different Tupperware containers that we acquired since we got married yet he doesn’t see the need to ever use them. Whenever we have leftovers or he doesn’t finish something…instead of putting it up in a container and into the fridge it goes straight into the fridge in the pan, in the bowl, or on the plate. Not only does this take up an enormous amount of space but it also pisses me off when I go to cook the next day and all the pans are filled with food in the fridge. So I have to scrape it out (and everyone knows its easier to scrape out when its still warm and not gelled to the inside of the pan) and then clean the pan before I can even cook with it. By this time the last thing I am in the mood to do is cook a meal.

My husband is a great guy…I just have to train him a little better :P:whistle::lol:

They ALLLLL need training, and some just more than others...:D:lol:

BTW, I can relate to the stuff under the sink. We have our bottle/can/plastic recycle bin under there and since taking the recycling out is one of his chores, you'd think he'd pay a little attention to it...but no, I open the door under the sink and a beer bottle, plastic milk jug, and empty can of beans fall out at my feet...grrrrrrrrrr. And he will precariously balance another item on the pile instead of just taking them out....oh, and they have to go just down the hall to our garbage room...so not too far. But instead of just doing it, I usually have to "remind" him. oi! :ranting:

The guy being hot thing....mine's the same. He really is gorgeous...but he just sees himself as the class clown and finds it difficult to accept my thinking of him as the sexiest man ever! They're all basically insecure and have fear of rejection!

His driving.....OMG....too fast driving and to slow braking....and him and my son just laugh at me when I reach for the dashboard to protect myself when it seems that he's going to fail to stop in time.

He is bad with money....spends unnecessarily....buys things and then never uses them...I have now learned that it works better if I just give him an allowance every week, otherwise we would be overdrawn every week!

What is it about guys that makes them unable to: clean the bathroom, replace an emply toilet roll, fill the soap dispenser when it's empty, clean the bathroom, empty the dishwasher or the clothes dryer - they always wait until there's none left and then just ask me - not just my husband but my son too...!

Now here's what annoys him about me - only fair to redress the balance: (!)

I make small piles of things to deal with so I keep my mind organized and don't forget anything important. So I have a bills to pay pile, a to file pile and a pending further information pile. He hates piles and sometimes ends up throwing important things away just because he doesn't want to see the pile.

I am not into choosing things necessarily based on what they look like i.e cars, household items etc, but deliberate for a long time, do lots of research and then make a decision based on practicalities such as cost vs gas mileage, etc. It drives him nuts!

I sleep like a dead person every night and he is lucky if he gates 3 hours every night.

He is fat phobic (no, really!) and I have increased by 3 dress sizes since I've lived here. He acknowledges it's not through over-eating but he does make remarks about it from time to time. I hate it too but now I'm working full-time (+) find it a struggle to get to the gym the three times a day I need to go to lose weight. But I love him and don't want to lose him so I'm actively working on that one.

He wishes I would spend more time on make-up and fashion and spend more money on these things. However, as I'm the one that keeps reign on the budget I can't at the moment justify spending oodles of money on things that are not necessities, so at the moment if I buy make-up or clothes it tends to be cheaper brands. He hates that! (his ex was the absolute opposite and spend $250 per month just on make-up, hair, nails etc and was know to go and blow thousands on her credit card on clothes as "retail therapy". I've spent the last 18 months clearing up their shared debts....I'm sure as hell not going to allow us to re-create that situation!

I love that we never argue. I love that we can talk about anything. I love that we can both admit our faults and are not to proud to say I'm sorry. I love that our faults are not so important to each other that we can't see past them - but that we still love each other and would do anything for each other.

He also ends up making a cocoon with the blanket at night and I almost strain a muscle yanking the blanket out from under him if I am cold. :D Or I'll just wake him up and tell him to get off the blanket. :innocent:

Sounds like us ;) Except in our case my wifes the one who cocoons. Maybe it's a desi thing.

my hubby does this too kind of.... he will roll over but take the blanket with him and it gets stuck under him..... so i am left with a little piece of blanket.. I try and tug the blanket but sometimes he has it tucked in soo good and I can't get it out.... :P

hubby does the piling of dishes in the sink too.... even though I usually have a nice stack of dishes sitting on the counter, he will still pile the dishes in the sink :P
