Interview cancelled WHAT?!?

My daughter's interview date is the same as yours. Need some information from you as she will be travelling alone. She will be flying from Karachi on September 30, 2015 inshallah. Have not booked her ticket as yet.

What is the most convenient hotel which normally people stay in Islamabad and also need to know which one provides transportation to go to the embassy. Her interview is at 7:00 a.m. Can you please help in guiding through to help in making her travel arrangement.

Also are you flying from Karachi and or other city. Any help will be appreciated.

The closest hotel will be Serena hotel, but as you know it can be pricey. There are several hotels which I have heard good things about in the past. They are little farther than Serena hotel, but that should not be a problem as that side of the town will be be jam packed with traffic that early in the morning. You can try Ramada Hotel or Dreamland Hotel. Best Western is another I have heard good reviews about. There are also several in G-6 markaz area as well. Quick googling the area to familiarize yourself or your daughter would be helpful too.

As far as transportation to the embassy goes, I think it would be safest to individually call and ask hotels if they can provide transportation to the Embassy compound in Isb. I bet most would offer a ride for money. Not sure if you know this but you cant drive up to US embassy. You need to park at some distance at this toll area and take a shuttle to US embassy. Cost was Rs. 200 for shuttle last I was there. Your daughter should be able to hire a taxi or radio cab for coming back to the hotel after done with embassy.

I call NVC again. The interview date has been scheduled for 1st oct. Case completed on 13th July. Thanks GOD.

As your and my daughter's interview date is some I want to know if you are in Islamabad or flying from Karachi. My daughter is inshallah going to fly from Karachi on September 30, 2015 and

will be alone therefore trying to find someone whom she can talk to in case of any issue.

She went to Islamabad for visit visa interview 10 years ago but was gone with my niece. She did not get the visa at that time.

Just wan to know regarding hotel etc and someone she can get help if needed.

Hamid, Sorry but my wife is the one who's going to for the interview. She will travel to Islamabad the day before the interview.

Everyone takes the Diplomatic Shuttle Service which is located at Avenue 3, Quaid-i-Azam University road in sector G/5 to get to the US embassy.

What time is your interview her is very early at 7:00 a.m.

My interview time is also at 7:00am. We have to reach shuttle service b/w 6:00 - 6:30...I will give you the detail of hotels, room availability and so on. Inshaallah she will not face any problem. I am living here and will be available if she will need any help.

No electronics at all, leave them at home

I am not sure on the handbag, but I would leave that at home as well

I also would not being a water bottle as I expect it is like getting on a plane (but the water bottle might be ok)

Try to keep the things you're bringing to the absolute necessities

You can buy water in the embassy (or you could in December)
