Hi all. After having mailing address issues, and then finally sending out our RFE response in December, we filed a request for information about the case being outside of normal processing time on March 29th. Then today, my husband received his letter with his interview date in the mail, for May 17th. Which of course, was right in the middle of our honeymoon. After a morning of panicky (and expensive) flight changing, we made the dates work. The USCIS Case Status page, however, still says that the latest info on our case was them receiving our RFE response on December 7th.

Anyone else getting more info through the mail than on the website? I just don't want anything to be amiss with them not being consistent through both the mail and their site.

Thanks!

K1

Hi everyone. I just have a question. When does your uscis case status updates? I got my interview for my green card last friday and was approved (thank God!???). but when I checked my case status today, it still says my interview date. Any idea how long it gets updated and how long should I receive my green card. Im from San Diego, California btw. Thank you so much for the help!?

Hello, Uscis updated my case one hour after the interview. I am not sure but I think it depens on the immigration officer or office policy.

Good luck!

HI Stranger! We were waiting together for our K1 petitions at TSC :)

Yes, the electronic updates are very unreliable. We only got our initial NOA1 texts and emails and have never had anything else since. Everything we got came in the regular mail. Did you sign up an account on the USCIC website? If we just go to the case status page and put in our number, it also only shows that they have our RFE from December (we filed in October and got our NOA1 in November so a bit later than you guys). However, when I log into the account with user name and password, it shows more information than it does by just adding the case number. I am not sure if the interview dates are reflected online though.

Congratulations! When did they tell you 4-6 weeks? My approval notice says 21 days. I called yesterday as it's not 16 days since my approval and they said I need to wait 30 days before they can chase it up. It seems they give everyone different information. I wonder if it depends where your case was approved? Anyway, so pleased to hear your good news!! :)

Had interview yesterday at 10am. Officer was a young woman. Took 20 min to finish. Asked us each others birthdays, birthplace, what did I like about her (same thing to her), really basic questions. I am applying from F1 status but didn't know I had to bring my school i20s. She said she needed them to make decision. Said I could go home after interview and bring her i20s and hand it to the person at the front who then will bring it to her. So I did that. She was positive about our relationship being honest. Said it will take a month or two to get a green card apreoval and sent us on our way. Now I didn't notice this (coz after that i20 comment from her I got nervous) but when I got home there wasn't i94 in my passport ( i gave her my i94 and passport together. She didn't tell me though that she was going to take my i94. However she didn't take my EAD. I don't know what to make of that. One day later, no good news yet. Will update.

After waiting 248 days from the date we sent my wife's AOS, today we can sleep peacefully. We FINALLY received that text that we've been anxiously waiting for. "..On May 23, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us..." This is an assumption of course that my wife was approved because she didn't have an interview. Newark FO was showing that they were 6+ months behind and we weren't expecting to hear from them until July/Aug of this year. Hopefully this isn't a fluke because we didn't get a text saying she was approved except that her card was being ordered.
