Hi! I want to share my experience about the interview. We had our interview in Chatsworth LA.

We arrived half an hour earlier, pass the security check (the officer made me remove my heels and walk on the freezing cold floor) then we left the interview letter in a box and waited to be called.

An hour later the officer call my number and as soon as he saw us he started to walk so fast, we caught up to him and entered the little office.

He made us swear and began the interview asking for documents (my ID and Visa) and my husband's ID, he asked him how we've met, where does he work and our year of marriage. Then he asked me if I'd ever been pregnant, what i was doing back in my Country and asked me if I can show him my SSN. He then asked for my husband's SSN.

He asked us repeatedly where do we live and ask if he can take a look to the photo album we brought.

Then the yes or no questions for me. Everything happened so fast, he was quite distant and didn't engage in any conversation beside the questions.

He explained that "they" need it to do another background check and that we needed to wait 45 days until a desicion

That was all.

Months of waiting resumed in almost 10 minutes.

He took photocopies of pictures and my ID's and shown us the exit.

For a couple of hours we were sad. We already have plans to move and travel and for me to visit my family and now we have to wait.

We had our interview in Friday, and by Monday morning I recieved a mail. The case was aproved on Friday! hours later the I130 was aproved and the card is in production letter.

On Wednesday a new email confirming that my card was being mailed.

We are so happy and now just waiting to have the actual card in hand.

I wish you all a smooth process and thank you for sharing your experiences.

Sure! I think you will be one of the firdt appointments, so be on time, but be prepared to wait. Have your bonafides organized and accesible for you to see.

I was so disappointed of not getting approval on the spot, i wasted energy being like that, becasuse days later i have my green card in hand. Be happy and show that you love each other, the officer's job is to evsluated whether or not you guys are in a true relationship. just show that you areand you should be fine. also, expect the officer to be distant and maybe rude. they want to stress you out to see if you break under stress. dont take it personal. Best wishes for you.

So, after uscis lost my husband's immunization record and medical, we redid it for 149.00 dollars ( we sent in with the RFE with receipts from his original medicals and immunizations...they most of cursed when seeing these documents as it proved they were done and they lost them!) anyhow, after a week and a half from submitting the RFE his green card was approved without interview.

So, I sent in all the original paperwork on Sept. 18, 2015.

We got RFE in early Oct. Had to order tax transcripts from the IRS,

so they didn't get my response to the RFE until Nov. 20, 2015.

We got he dual work/travel card in Dec.

Today I checked our receipt number, which up to now just said we received

your RFE response paperwork on Nov. 20, 2015.

Today it says this,

New Card Is Being Produced

On March 12, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC................, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does this mean the green card was approved? No interview, no other communication other than the biometrics?

Looks like it, congrats :) although I found the interview nothing to worry about, it's nice you don't have to do one.

Thanks!

Wow, was expecting another few months wait... :dancing:

Hi again Ruby. . We had our interview at Chatsworth on Thursday morning and haven't heard anything yet. The officer gave us a letter saying we need to wait 30 days for inquiring and that a supervisor needs to review our case.. did you get email notification first before mail? Getting anxious and nervous for not hearing anything :/
