I'll write up my experience afterwards but I have a lawyer going with me and she said that the Pittsburgh office is really small and there are about 4 officers working all of whom my lawyer has worked with a bunch of times. She said she really doesn't see it being a big deal, so I'm not especially worried about it. More worried it's going to be a blizzard and the office will be closed and I'll have to reschedule, but if that happens I already have the day off work so I'll just go snowboarding instead... silver lining.

Well, if it helps... I work in the building right next to the Pittsburgh office. If it snows, at least around this area, they take really good care of the roads. I don't think you have to worry about them closing :)

My husband and I are travelling tomorrow (first time using his AP). I'm assuming it should all go well. We're travelling to Puerto Rico so I don't think he'll have much issues with Immigration/Customs compared with going to a non-American country. I'll add his experience once we're back in the USA :)

No word on the GC/interview yet.

Congrats to all the approvals and Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

My case still says: '' Ready to be scheduled for an interview''. and it has been like this for 6 weeks. and I dont know how much time it will take.

how can i know which center is processing my case( my Receipt Number starts with MSC.

Is anyone still waiting for an interview like me? why lots of people have already got their GC while others are still waiting? what makes it different?

JAREmorocco,

My wife has also been waiting for her interview date. Her states has remain in the same status since October "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received" but we did get her EAD beginning of Dec 2015. Since then, no actions/movements on her file yet. I did check the Field Office where she would get her Interview and it's showing that they are about 6+ months behind. They were working on March 2015 filers as of October 2015. Luckily for us, we have out 6 month twin boys to occupy our time while we get our turn with the interview. The trick to this game, is patience and for now that's what we're doing. Good luck with your process and hope you hear something back soon. But I do share your feeling that others have been lucky to have gotten their GC and/or interview. But we'll get ours - hopefully soon. Cheers!

It seems that those who live in major cities have to wait a lot longer, but one can never tell. I hate the silent waiting and wondering. We never know if we can plan a trip because of the "what if"? Also, my husband is still nervous about using the AP to travel alone.

You are not alone my case has been ready for interview since October 13. I have received my EAD though. My only problem is I cannot renew my drivers license here in Georgia without my GC. So I'm really hoping and praying I get an interview date soon. Hang in there your day will come soon :-)

Got a letter from my senator office after they sent an inquiry. The response the Senator office forwarded to me said that our AOS is being processed at Dallas Field Office (Is this normal? I live in Atlanta?) and they are waiting for my husband's biometrics. And we got another biometrics appointment letter from USCIS. Which is confusing because we had his biometrics appointment last November. His fingerprint is on the EAD/AP card we got in the mail.

Just haven't heard a single thing about the I-485.

I'm following up with my senator office, but just wanted to check if anyone here had any similar situation?

Hey All....

Cograts to all of you with the new green card! For the others, hang in there. This process is so exhausting and cost so much engergy!

Good luck to all of you with the interview soon.

My interview is in less than a week and I am freaking out! I have documents together but still feel like it's not enough (because I am stressing out so much about it).

Maybe you guys can calm me down a bit and tell me if it's enough proof so far?!

We just bought a car + registration, electronic bill, bills from different hotels we've been, money transfers, Tickets, FB conversation, Skype conversation, bill for his ring, letters from friends and family with both our names on it, a book with all the pic of us and a written proof that I am registert as his wife in the military system.

So far that's it. We want to move soon so it doesnt make sense that I am on the lease, moreover we would have to pay a lot of money. 1 week after the interview I will be on his health insurance (military one- they want to start witzh the insurance when a new month starts)

We dont have a joint bank account because we dont want to.

Now it's up to you and your opinion. Do you think that is enough proof? Any other proofs we can add?

Your opinion would help me a lot even though it's just to calm my nerves down!

Thank you in advance!

The interview for my wife went just fine. Simple questions from the form i485 for my wife and went over some 100+ pictures in the album. A few bank statements. That's all. The interview took about 20 minutes. The two hours later got a notice the card in production.
