@hmz

My office now is the NBC

Date filed: Aug 28

NOA 1: Sept 02

RFE: Sept 22

Bio Appt: Sept 29

EAD/AP approved: Nov 09

received Combo card: Nov 14

I-485 "ready to be scheduled for an interview": Nov 24

Not that bad. So far I've heard from the USCIS almost every second week or weekly. I am very curious when they will schedule me the actually date for the interview appointment. I've read that this notice means nothing and I probably have to wait 2 more months until the appointment. Enough time to get prepared. But it's still a good feeling to see the progress even though it's just an "useless notice". Moreover, I dont feel like they forgot me lol. I still believe I have to wait longer just because of my RFE but time will tell.

It gives hope when I see that the first ppl here get their dates for the interviews. At the end of the day we all are in the same boat and just hope for a fast process.

Congrats to all those who have gotten interviews scheduled and their EAD/AP. I am amazed at how different the times to Green Card vary between field offices. Some are rather quick, while others will take a long time. It is great knowing that so many here will have their green card soon. I hope that Washington, D.C. will be able to process quickly as well, though they are on average around 250 days to process fully.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

I've got a question to all of you who already received the EAD.

Do you already have a job or are you still applying for jobs? If you already have you, how long did it take to get one? And in what field do you work now?

Thank you :-)

At this time my wife hasn't found a job yet, though she isn't actively looking at this time. I am not pushing her to find one because I want her to adjust well before taking on position. She does volunteer at the local hospital once a week though.

I still don't have a Job because I'm still waiting for my SSN and any way my interview is this week so I rather adjust first than get a job where I will have to ask for permission to attend the interview. This week is a bit stressful for me.

Good luck

I was looking for jobs but my husband and I decided to wait as we are moving (in the process of buying a house). Although I know I won't be able to get a job in the field I want to (not yet anyway) so I will be looking at jobs in the retail industry until I get my own car lol. Maybe I'll apply in sephora or ulta (heaven!).

My wife still waiting for her EAD card though she did receive her approval notice in the mail already. The only reason we wanted her to get the EAD so that she can get her driver license so she can get around without having to wait for me. We have a 4 month old twin boys at home. It would cost more money to send our twins to day care then for her to actually work. Since it made no sense, she will be a stay home mom which is a lot of work in itself. We delayed he AOS because of our twin boys. She was considered high risk so there was no point of trying stress the AOS. Glad that our attorney advised us accordingly.

Hi everyone,

My husband's case hasn't been updated since 11/03 (case ready to be scheduled for an interview). Biometrics were done on October 14th.

We haven't received notice yet that his EAP/AP are approved yet. Maybe we'll get something in the mail this week.

Anyways, he has his SSN# and I've been wanting to obtain a State ID card for him so we can travel to Puerto Rico next month - it's pretty easy to get here where I live. However, I would still prefer him to travel with the AP even though Puerto Rico is part of the USA. Would it be safe to book the tickets now and fly with a State ID or should I patiently wait for the AP card? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I just looked at your timeline and it appears that you guys should have received something by now. I would suggest call them to get a status since it's outside the time frame.

Good Luck

Hi guys,

For those who received their interview cancellation notice by USCIS, has anyone received any further notice from USCIS regarding their case?

I recently just received the same letter, but I filed in October, not September.

Thank you guys.

I received two emails today-both stating a new card is being produced.
One regarding my EAD application, the other one for my green card application.
What does that mean? Did they approve my green card already?
Or was that yet another mistake USCIS made?

I just received the cancelation notice in the mail yesterday. It took few days from the notification via email. Let me know your next progress

I received the cancellation notice for the interview on Nov 24th. Still haven't heard anything on EAD/AP since Uscis received the paperwork on Sept 28th. I'm hoping to hear something soon on the EAD as my wife might have found a job.
