I been following this post as we filed in September for Aos. Today we got an update that our interview has been cancelled but we never had a interview scheduled.

Aos Forms sent Sept 23rd

Aos forms received Sept 28th

Fingerprint Fee was received Oct 1st, 2015

Biometrics Scheduled for Oct 22rd, 2015

Walk in appointment done on Oct 13th

Received update to our Aos on Nov 20th that our interview was cancelled

On November 20th, 2015 we cancelled your interview for Form I485

Anyone else run into this? We never had a interview scheduled and it got cancelled anyway. Any advice? Not sure what to do now.

I have exactly the same experience. I received my EAD card about a week ago. Then on Nov 20 I got notification on my interview getting canceled. I was like wth I didn't get notified for the interview. On the same day I got a mail from them on the interview, was supposed to be Dec 21. I did Google about this and apparently interview can be canceled for lots of reasons such as weather or holiday. In my case I think it's just Christmas holiday and probably the office people is short staffed during that time. Now waiting for the new date for interview. I heard it should be rescheduled within couple weeks. Let me know on your progress.

I sent the request of change of address in Nov 9, 2015 online because we moved to Charlotte NC, got the confirmation the same day in my email.

This last friday (Nov 20) I got the hard copy in my new address about my I-131 being received for process with the notice date on Sep 23, 2005, this same letter got sealed that says "Action completed Approved fir filing, date Nov 2, 2015".

So I updated my profile here in VJ in case of you guys need check it.

May/29/2024 -- N-400 submitted online.

May/29/2024 -- NOA 1 released online.

May/29/2024 -- Biometrics Reuse letter released online. 

Jun/03/2024 -- Received the Biometrics Reuse letter in our mailbox at home.

July/21/2024 -- We got an email with the notice that the N-400 interview was scheduled. 

July 26/2024-- We received the physical letter with the notice that the N-400 interview was scheduled.

Sep/05/2024 -- N-400 Interview (passed!)

Sep/05/2024 -- Oath Ceremony will be scheduled. 

Sep/06/2024 -- We got an email with the notice that the Oath Ceremony was scheduled. 

Sep/17/2024 -- We received the physical letter with the info about the Oath Ceremony. 

Sep/27/2024 -- Oath Ceremony and Certificate of Naturalization issued.  (Journey over!) 

Oct/03/2024 --  We received the physical letter from SSA with the updated SSN card. 

Oct/15/2024 --  We received the physical letter from  NC DMV with my NC Real ID card.

It's finally my turn. EAD/AP are approved today. It took 70 days... Guess RFE does slow down the process a bit.

09/14/2015 - AOS Package Mailed (I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131)

09/17/2015 - AOS delivered and signed for

09/28/2015 - NOA assigned by USCIS

10//01/2015 - Biometrics Appointment letter received

10/05/2015 - notification of I-485 RFE sent out

10/14/2015 - Biometrics Appointment for EAD/AOS

10/27/2015 - USCIS received RFE response, begins working on the case again

11/23/2015 - EAD/AP approved, new card is in production

11/23/2015 - I-485 case ready to be scheduled for an interview

12/02/2015 - EAD/AP card received

1/13/2016 - interview is scheduled on Feb 16th, 2016

2/16/2016 - interview canceled due to imminent weather

3/16/2016 - 2nd interview scheduled for Apr 20th, 2016

4/20/2016 - Green card approved.

 

1/26/2018 - Applied for Remove of Conditions

1/26/2019 - Applied for N-400

6/6/2019  -  Interview for N-400 scheduled on 7/11/2019

it is frustrating they would cancel an appt and we rerouted his plane ticket and everything...of course they won't refund you that money! smh!

From what I've been browsing it's nothing about you, it can be canceled for various reasons : weather, office training, holiday. I do notice process during holiday time is slower. So probably it's just thanksgiving, Christmas and new year coming altogether. I would say, don't book any tickets to come to your interview until a week or two before. I wouldn't book for an extensive trip as well. I know it sucks but we just have to bear with it. After all, interview would be the last step for the GC. Good luck to you!

Hey guys. Congrats to everyone getting EAD and good luck to anyone with interview coming up. My husband finally got his fingerprint appointment. December 3rd. I know some people were able to get it done sooner. I'm wondering will it make a difference if we try to do it this week? Any chance the EAD would get approved sooner?

I received my interview letter and it was scheduled for Dec 22nd but I never received the cancellation letter in the mail. I was told if I don't receive the cancellation letter to show up for the Dec 22nd interview anyways because it could have been a mistake on their end and the interview was never really cancelled. Please let me know if you receive a cancellation notice in the mail.

I have been silently reading everyone's wonderful news and been praying that my wife would get her good needs soon. We were getting jealous that we haven't received our yet. But with the grace of god, my wife received her good news today. It's going to be a great Thanksgiving after all :joy:
