Hi VJ,

I applied for my social security number on the 10th of September. I was told i will receive it in four weeks. After two weeks a letter came informing me that i have applied for SSC and i should be receiving it in two weeks. Three week passed without any card in my mail. I went to the social security office and the lady told me that, they sent it to my mail but maybe my mail does not have my name that is why it was not delivered so she reapplied for another card. I got a mail today telling me that my I-94 and immigration status will expire in November so they can not issue the SSC unless i bring prove that it is not expiring soon. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue? I applied for my 1-485 i September and my EAD on the 12 of October that means i won't get anything than till probably January. Does this process take that long. Also am travelling to Florida in November but my K1 visa expires a week before i travel. Will i have an issue with CBP?

You won't go through CBP when you fly domestic. They just ask to see a photo ID of you. But to be on the safe side, it wouldnt hurt to have your NOA with you in case TSA asks. But I feel like they shouldn't. You are free to travel inside the US.

I'm right with you! Waiting game..

My wife had her biometrics done one day before you in NJ. We did get an RFE but responded to it the following day since I had a feeling I knew what it was (IRS Transcript). So we are patiently waiting...

Haven't heard a thing. Bio was done on September 28 and it had been silent since. No status change on anything yet. I am in the time frame to start hearing something soon. As far as interview...noticed D.C. is a good 8 months to 1 year behind so it will be a while for me.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

I would rather have my wife get the GC as opposed to the EAD. You are very lucky! that's in like a month from now. From what I've read, bring additional photos, documents showing you share bank accounts, health insurance, and etc. Also, if you search in VJ about GC Interview, you will get some great advise and insight of what others have experienced. Based on what I've read, it can take as little as 5 minutes to about 1 hour. Good Luck and please keep us posted! Cheers

Yes, Ameribrazil I been searching the web like you have no idea! I still don't have health insurance card, I don't know why but my husband try many times to add me and they would not let him so I gave up on that but tomorrow we are going to sign a health power of attorney in each other name. I'm gathering the paper like cell phone plan, joint bank statements, HOA letter stating we live together, electric bill in both our names, credit card copy in both our name and statement and 2 affidavits from my mother in law and a friend. Am I missing something? Please a ray of light! Thanks for all your support and I'm sure soon we will hear more good news, I will keep you guys posted.

Cheers!✌️

Since the biometrics in early October no news. We can wait for the GC but we would like to get the EAD sooner than later. I am hoping to get it by mid November.

We did not apply for early parole , even though we really wanted to see my husband's Family in Santo Domingo, because we did not have proof that there was a Medical emergency or any kind of urgency for a trip.

Good luck to al of you waiting.

I checked my husband's case status on myUSCIS a couple minutes ago. It was recently updated to: As of November 3, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number XXXXXXX...., for an interview....

However, no updates on the AP/EAD.. :clock:

Hello Everyone!

My husband and I filed September 18th and have an online NOA date of Sept. 24th. Our biometrics appointment was on Oct 20th, but no word since.

I have a quick question, our Bio-appointment was not updated on the case tracking page all that is said is that they recieved the payment but no word on the status of the bio is this normal?

thank you in advance!
