So, incase anyone was interested in an update, I called USCIS this morning and they had indeed sent the other two NOA1's and my husband's biometrics appointment letter to our physical address. She put in to correct our mailing address and have everything re-sent to us. She gave us the receipt numbers at least, so we can follow them online. She would not, however, tell us his biometrics appointment date. She would only say that it is very soon, sometime next week. They are going to try to fax the biometrics letter to us today, but the fax machine at my work does not work very well. Who even faxes anymore?!!?

Am sorry, you must be very worried. Only way to find out what happened to your NOA hardcopies is to call them... but they will give you the 30 days spiel since it hasnt been a month yet. Call once the 30 days is up and tell them you didnt receive anything in the mail. Goodluck!

I called them and they said okay you should have received it in 10 days. I need to send you to an agent above my level but your husband has to be there. The problem was I called from work and my husband was at home. Today he called them on skype and got sent to the next person but there was a long wait and they asked for a phone number to call us back and he gave my phone number since he didn't know how to get them to call him back on skype. So now I don't know what they will say when I answer and he isnt here with me.

I guess having the receipt numbers is better than nothing. And you can check the status of your case/s online too. I guess they need you to have a hard copy of the biometrics appt hence the fax. Hahaha

Seems weird that they say you'll have it in 10 days but you need to speak to a supervisor... maybe you or your husband should give them another call to clear things and the next steps... i wonder why they need to call you again... keep us posted :)

So i was reading about what to expect if you do walk in for your biometrics... my biometrics will be held in modesto ca and i found one post here on vj about them not letting walk ins two weeks earlier than the appt date. It didnt say about having it done a day earlier so am gonna try to go there on the 15th... hopefully they will let us do the biometrics then.. :)

EDIT: there's another post about walk in biometrics and one in modesto said they were allowed to do walk in 10 days before the said appt. This was just las may 2015...

We were originally thinking of going a week early to get my wife's biometric done but unfortunately we received an update on her case requesting for evidence. So at this point since our case is put on hold due to an RFE, there's no reason to try to get the biometric done earlier the appointment date. Kinda bummed about this RFE as it delays our processing. I hope it's nothing trivial that they're looking for. I know it took us a year later after we got married to file her AOS but that's because we were so busy preparing for the coming of our twin boys. Anyone else got an RFE?

I have almost the same timeline as you do. But my boimetrics appointment is set on 14th, that is, tomorrow. I got a notice over the phone about RFE on Oct 5th, so there's no point for me to do an early walk in either (not that I planned to--I live in Rochester, but the appointment is all the way in Buffalo...). Anyways, what annoys me so much is that it's been 10 days and I still haven't got the hard copy of the RFE. Why can't they release the info about what's needed through the phone app too?! At least that way I can start preparing the documents they need! Sigh..

LOL sorry to get you panicked! BTW you can install the USCIS app on your phone. If they ever send you anything (of course hopefully not any RFEs), the app will alert you immediately. But it won't have any detailed information.. You still have to wait for the real letter..
