The worst that can happen is that you get an RFE ( but I don't think so) as they will assume you don't have one but they will not send you back the entire AOS for that, so don't worry ?

I hope so... We have spent so many hours working on those forms...

Good luck HafsaJawwad, Hope you and the rest on here get the NOA1 and bio appointment very soon.

Thanks! I have one question now though. Everyone is talking about getting a text/email. Is that only if you sent in the form for notifications? Or do they email/text everyone?

I was feeling pretty confident the whole K1 process but now I'm feeling like an immigration baby again lol Hopefully this AOS will be easier though!

You get text notification only if you send form G-1145, but you can create a online case once you get your NOA1 hard copy to activate text and email messages, I downloaded the USCIS track app. So I don't have to be writing my case number every time.

Good luck

Hopefully, it comes by Friday and it's a fairly simple request. Ironically, I'm just happy to hear something back at all so quickly. It makes it feel like things are "moving". I could be wrong, but I wonder if there is some correlation between getting RFE'd and your case going faster. I could be reading the updates people have made incorrectly, but it seems like people get faster responses after being RFE'd and they reply as opposed to the other cases that just go through...or could be my own confirmation bias.

You have to wait for the RFE hard copy to know what they need, lets us know!!

I've only received a text, I then downloaded the USCIS APP since I read it from one of the post that it existed. Since then, I have checked on my wife's status, and no update since last Friday when I got the text. I haven't even received the NOA1 hard copy. Hopefully we get it soon and get an appointment for her EAD. We need her to get a driver license ASAP so that see can go anywhere she wants without having to wait for me to drive her.

Ah okay I see. I did check my bank account and it looks like they cashed the check today so that is a good sign here :)

Hopefully you can receive the paper NOA soon! I think the next step is finger prints and it seems like people are getting appointments pretty quickly. She should be able to get her license before though. You don't need to wait for the EAD. Just make sure she is comfortable with the rules and which side of the road to drive on if that is different in Brazil. My husband is used to driving on the left and the other day he turned on the wrong side of the road, so scary!

I actually see a line that wasn't checked on my affidavit of support document. I'm looking at a copy and a line that should be checked that the sponsor is a U.S. citizen wasn't checked. Maybe that's it.

That sounds like an easy fix though. Hopefully they will get the RFE response to you soon and the rest will be easy :)

I screwed that up. I guess that's why it's good to make copies of everything so that you can go back an check. I don't know how I looked that over multiple times and still missed it.
