What does under extended review mean??

Hi all!

Just wanted to get your views on this. I filed my ROC back in Oct 2014, was recieved Oct 10th by CSC and did my biometrics on Nov4th 2014. Since then i have neither heard nor received anything in the mail, email or text notification. So after reading so many stories here on VJ, i sent a service request on July 9th re:outside normal processing times since by then it had been 9 months of waiting and about 3 weeks later received a letter from them stating that my application is under extended review and no further information could be provided but to call if i dont hear from them in 180 days. Is this a normal response? I mean that's like 6 more months and my extension expires in October! Not sure what to think of it but if you could all chime in with your thoughts, i'd greatly appreciate any further action y'all recommend. Thanks and a blessed day to everyone.

Call your local senator's office and ask them to make an inquiry. Explain what you just posted above and you are concerned about the expiration date in October.

Thankyou for your response! I will definitely do this if i dont hear anything in the next few weeks. I've considered calling the 1800 number but have heard that you just get a similar response...what do u think?

Why wait?

No need to really i was just looking for other options or if there's anything i'm missing/not understanding about this process....Reaching out to the senator's office has been helpful for some here and has not made a difference to others but i will try anything :) Thanks again!
