Was wondering about people's experience with meeting your spouse and getting married and filing all before you knew each other a year.

Is that a problem an issue? We have already had 2 trips both were 3 weeks each. Close in age 4 years apart.

My husband and I were engaged and filing visa paperwork one year and 3 months after we started dating. The only reason we didn't file when we first got engaged 11 months into our relationship was because we had to wait for my husband's divorce to be finalized. I was terrified they were going to give us problems since he was officially divorced for only 3 weeks before we filed (he was separated over 2 years). We had no issued with our K-1 paperwork and our interview in Chile was very easy. Everyone's case is different but we didn't receive any RFE and they didn't really question us about his divorce. They only asked for the timeline of the relationship. I think they wanted to see if we started dating while he was still married but we didn't. We have been happily married for two years and even had our AOS interview waived because they felt that we are a low risk case.

This won't apply now, but just had to share, my parents knew each other 2 WEEKS when they got married and started the process! Haaa. That was in the 60s though and my-oh-my how things have become more complicated.

Provide all your evidence of a real relationship. The 2 trips of 3 weeks each are .You have as much of a chance as anyone. By the way, age difference makes no difference. There are couples 30 years apart in age who are granted visas.

Married seven months after meeting, filed two weeks later.. eight months after that we finished the process and she had the visa/GC

Yes, my brother in law was 42 years older than his russian wife

and trust me, i fight any case for age discrimination

Just make sure you know all about her to answer questions at the interview

and be patient with the process

We have known each other for 1 year and 2 months before we got married. The first time we met was May 1, 2015 and got married after a week. We filed the petition July 31 and got approved last August 31..

For Lagos a 4 years age gap is no big deal and even though they don't like to approve marriage after just meeting, your wife's 2 trips for 3 weeks

helps.

I suggest for your wife to be on the premises for the interview and get another visit in while waiting for the NOA2.

Bring plenty of photos showing you both together with your family and quality updated relationship evidence to the interview.

Met my now, wife, Jan. 17, 2012. We were friends in the Philippines, and exchanged a few e mails, but became closer and closer. On my third trip to the Phils., we decided it was more than

friendship, that was a rainy night, June 9, 2012.

We filed the K-1 on June 24, 2012, she P.O.E. Atlanta April 24, 2013. We married June 22, 2013. Got EAD/AP card about October of 2013, and 2 year GC on Jan. 2, 2014.

We will file for ROC, the first week of October, next month.

All I can say is never take anything for granted that it "will all be fine".,.,.,.,always expect the unexpected, rfe's, medical delays, more evidence, lost evidence.,.,.but hopefully it will

all go smooth for people who file now, ours was certainly not "smooth" .,.,(medical, which the Phils., is famous for) BUT, it is oh so worth it.

Yes we got approved too fast and we were really surprised believing that it would take more than a month. God is good!
