Online status changed to- on April 17, 2015, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC*00********. We will send you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Infopass appointment at dallas center on july 21st 2015 regarding case status due to being delay on my case.

Officer at winodw told me that my case is on additional security check and there is no time frame for that, come back and see us after 90days if no status chages.

Thank you for the suggestion. I am assuming this should be the next step for me if I do not hear anything in next couple of weeks.

Call the office of your US Senator (not state senator) and make an appointment with them to review your details. They will get things moving.

I just received the online status changed to Case In Line for Interview after almost 8 months. I am hoping all the background checks are done by now which already delayed my case several months as compared to others. In Chad 1234 case, the additional background check is getting done after receiving the case in line for interview which is kind of different. I am hoping I will not have to go through another extensive background check.

Congrats FSI . Have you done something recently which you think might have triggered the movement in your case? Things should move along quick for you now as you are outside LA processing times. Chad 1234 case is unusual or he has been given with wrong information. As Per USCIS internal policy background checks should be done before interview scheduling.

Yes they will help. A Senator sees someone who they have assisted on the path to citizenship as a vote to remain in office. Many Senators even have pages on their website with forms for submitting issues people are having with USCIS.

i mean of course he can but i am not sure the senator's office is answerable to a non USC

o yeah, interesting. so they do it for the vote bank not that they have to by the US constitution.

No, they do it because he/she is your representative, regardless of whether you are eligible to vote or not it is their job to represent you.

In fact the number of representatives your State has compared to other states is based on the US Census count every ten years. That count includes all persons, citizens, perm residents, undocumented aliens, visitors, prisoners in the jail, minors, etc.

It is their constitutional duty to represent you.

Now, how effective they are, that is another subject.

GOLFER,

I have done all the usual inquiries through service requests, Infopass and congressman but I doubt if that triggered the movement as the response used to be the same which was pending background check and it will take its own time.
