Oath ceremony February 9 in OKC . Do we need to bring photos to apply for passport after the ceremony takes place?

1) When you apply for a passport, you'll need a photo.

2) You don't have to apply for a passport right after the ceremony, or ever.

3) Not all ceremonies have someone there to collect passport applications, so you may need to go to an application receiving facility.

I had my interview yesterday morning at the Bloomington, MN office and I was approved. Now I'm in line to be scheduled for the oath ceremony, which I was told would most likely be in March.

For those of you out there applying based on marriage and 5 years as resident, if any, I have this to share: I provided copies of joint tax filings, bank account, bills of several kinds, along with copies of my husband's passport, etc., basically checking off everything on the list of required documentation and then some. At the interview, the officer told me she would like to see more proof of a bona fide marriage. I was surprised but my first thought was not to argue with her. I patiently listened to her and went through all questions in the questionnaire. I passed the civics test. At some point, she asked me to fax her some additional information and told me I wouldn't be approved until she received it.

At the end of the interview I pointed out that I was also applying on the basis of having been a resident for over 5 years. She apologized and said she didn't notice that. She went back through the form and realized that I was, indeed, right. So she crossed off some of the notes she'd made on my application and then approved me for naturalization. It was a bit nerve-wrecking for a few moments there as I could just picture my application getting delayed, etc. etc. But in the end, it worked out. My point is, be polite but stand up for yourself if you think the officer is making a mistake.

If you feel that strongly about this, please go back to the August filers, as you do don't belong here. You did not file in September. Read that note that is under the link that you just referred to. I don't think this was necessary on your part! The person meant no harm, simply updating isn't going to pull the "September 2015" community apart! Or will it?

Chill, no harm at all and my post wasn't targeted at the person that posted or updated but for those few September filers and other months that have been sending me PMs about updating their info hence the post above from one of the Admins! You might have missed that part! Good luck to you on your journey! It's all good on this side!

My apologies, I never read this post till today.

I filed in Oct 2015, I was just browsing Sep 15 filers and expect to get some idea on timelines.

I will not update other members timelines who filed N-400 except Oct 2015 filers.

I passed the civil & english test 11/25!

Got a N652 form states that Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval.

Now I just have to wait for the oath ceremony letter. Hopefully come before Christmas.

hi did you file based on 3yr marriage? if so what proof did you bring to the interview? thx
