There is a customer service number on the notice that are been served. Call the 1800 # the first respond u will get will be the front desk receptionist attending to you. they will only tell you what they can see on the screen. You can make a request to speak to tier 2. The tier 2 staff can give you an adequate information on your case only if there is an update. If there is no update no miracle bro

We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number NBC*xxxxxxxxx, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does this status change once they actually send you the letter, I see people on the thread referring to their status as "Oath Ceremony Scheduled"?

I had my interview on January 8 in LA and was approved so now waiting for the Oath letter. From previous months I see that for the LA office the Oath ceremony usually happens with 4-6 weeks of approval.

In my own opinion to this question. The applicants ahead of you determines the time u will be schedule for oath. If you are from a small jurisdiction where application are treated quickly. I will say a week. Like my own case,interview was done January 5th, got an update for an oath scheduled January 12th and I called uscis tier 2 officer for my oath and was informed that it will be on the 26th January

Omeka, just curious if you ever received the oath ceremony letter in the mail? My status updated to "Oath ceremony scheduled and notice mailed" on Jan. 14th, so have waited over a week for it to show up. The IO that I interviewed with indicated I would likely be attending a ceremony on the 29th, but to wait for notice to come in the mail. I live quite far from where the ceremony would be. Of course I'm trying not to get panicked, but at the same time am ready for the final step of this process to be complete! I'm on hold with customer service as we speak! Thanks for any input you might have.

Well, I answered my own question! ? Called customer service and asked to speak to a Tier 2, and she gave me the info that my oath ceremony is scheduled for Jan. 29th. She was very friendly and helpful. Journey is almost done!!

You need to answer the questions on the back of the oath letter, sign it, and turn it in at the ceremony. So if you haven't got it in the mail, you may want to call back and see if they can send it to you. Have a fax number available because they won't email it. If the ceremony is at a USCIS field office, then you can go early so they can print one for you. I'm sure it won't be a problem as long as your name is on the list, but if you have the letter with you before the ceremony, you'll avoid possible delays.

You'll probably get the letter in the mail next week anyway.

Does this status change once they actually send you the letter, I see people on the thread referring to their status as "Oath Ceremony Scheduled"? Yes, once your oath ceremony is scheduled and a notice mailed, your status will change to "Oath Notice Mailed". This can sometimes feel like the longest wait because you are so close to the finish line. Same rules apply as pre-interview. Make sure you do not pick up any traffic citations before the oath cermony. There is a questionaire at the back of the oath notice which you need to turn in at the ceremony. It asks for any changes since the interview i.e. international travel, citations, marital status changes etc. Any change may postpone your ceremony if the officer thinks it is material to your application for naturalization. You do not want to be turned away on the day of the ceremony.

I had my oath ceremony yesterday 1/22. They managed to get my whole family in the same ceremony even though our timelines differed slightly. It was emotional, exciting, and a lot of fun. Thank you guys for this thread and your help. Good luck to everyone still going through the process and congrats to all the people who have become citizens!

i would like to inform that my interview which was scheduled on Feb 4 has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (most likely due to bad weather). i have got a official notice for the same .To add more, the status initially changed to interview scheduled on January 12 and strangely for the first time throughout the journey, they sent my official interview schedule letter to my attorney than on January 19 (a week after the initial notice ) my online status changed to in line again and than again went to interview scheduled on january 22. i did not pay a lot of attention as the interview was scheduled in Des moines, IA and there was no way it was going to be rescheduled due to the big snow blizzard that is supposed to hit the east coast.i will talk to tier 2 on monday and will update the scene here.

Sorry... there's something odd about the November table... I'll let someone more experienced update it... it looks odd when I try it doing the same thing I do for the other months.

Hi guys, hope all is well. I have a quick question in case if someone else out there is the same boat as I am. I have received a notification on 01/15/16 that I am scheduled for an interview and wait for an interview letter to come in thru the mail. However, I waited until now and the mail hasn't arrived yet. I am trying to see if this is normal, the time it takes to receive the interview letter that is. Thanks
