Is anybody here their field office is Chicago.I have been waiting inline status more then 2 months.If I don't get my interview date this week I will call next friday,

I will be interviewed in chicago.yes, two months in line seems too much. i am not sure calling them will help. good luck to you though.keep us in loop.

Interview notice was sitting in the mail today. Notice date - November 23rd 2015. Interview date - Jan. 7th 2016. That seems far but will surely come. Enough time to prepare.

Hi Everybody!

Just want to share real quick my interview experience today 12/2.

Was scheduled for a 10:45am interview. Got thru security in a flash and was checked in around 10:15am. However, they were so behind schedule I waited till 11:30 and finally a female officer took me in her office. She was very professional and was very detail oriented. The only thing she focused on was the 3 year tax transcript and made sure we did not owe a penny from the previous tax years. We went on to review my n400 application sheet and was over in perhaps 3 minutes.

The civics questions were:

1. How many voting members Are there in the US House of Representatives?

2. How many senators do we have?

3. How many years do we elect a U.S. rep?

4. Who is the head of the executive branch?

5. Who is the current Supreme Court Chief Justice?

6. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Reading and writing part:

She made me read: Why do people come to the U.S.?

She made me write: People come to the U.S. to be free.

She handed me the 652 form stating my application for citizenship is recommended for approval.

I also asked point blank when my oath will be. I had to because I have a sales meeting in Barcelona, Spain mid January and just told her it'd be neat to have a US passport by then. And since I am adopting my mother's name as my middle name, it constitutes a name change therefore my oath would have to be in a judicial court. She went extra mile and called Philadelphia court house directly that holds the judicial ceremony. I waited outside and after half an hour she handed me my oath letter.

I went to Shake Shack and got me some burger and fries after. I was starving. ☺️

Hi Everybody!

Just want to share real quick my interview experience today 12/2.

Was scheduled for a 10:45am interview. Got thru security in a flash and was checked in around 10:15am. However, they were so behind schedule I waited till 11:30 and finally a female officer took me in her office. She was very professional and was very detail oriented. The only thing she focused on was the 3 year tax transcript and made sure we did not owe a penny from the previous tax years. We went on to review my n400 application sheet and was over in perhaps 3 minutes.

The civics questions were:

1. How many voting members Are there in the US House of Representatives?

2. How many senators do we have?

3. How many years do we elect a U.S. rep?

4. Who is the head of the executive branch?

5. Who is the current Supreme Court Chief Justice?

6. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Reading and writing part:

She made me read: Why do people come to the U.S.?

She made me write: People come to the U.S. to be free.

She handed me the 652 form stating my application for citizenship is recommended for approval.

I also asked point blank when my oath will be. I had to because I have a sales meeting in Barcelona, Spain mid January and just told her it'd be neat to have a US passport by then. And since I am adopting my mother's name as my middle name, it constitutes a name change therefore my oath would have to be in a judicial court. She went extra mile and called Philadelphia court house directly that holds the judicial ceremony.
