23 days after the interview and still the only update is "in line for the oath ceremony". I guess the NYC applicants are quite crowded and they are piled-up waiting for the ceremony..

Hello everyone,

I passed my interview on last week at my local USCIS office. The IO was extremely courteous and went through my application fairly quickly. I got recommended for approval. Earlier today I received a notification from USCIS that I have been scheduled for the oath ceremony and my date with all the details has been sent in the mail. Unfortunately the notification didn't specify a date or time. I called the USCIS helpline to get details but they said they don't have that information and that only the local office does. Barring making an infopass appointment or waiting for the mail, does anybody know of another way to find out what my oath date is? I know I should calm down but my loved ones which don't live locally want to be present and they will have to fly in. The more advance notice I can give them the cheaper it will be on them. Any info that you can give would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for all your help!

I think it would be in 04/21/2016 at LA Convention Center.

Congrats. How long were you "in line for oath" before changing to oath scheduled? NYC seems backed up for oaths in recent days.

My online status turned to "you are in line for oath ceremony" on

March 24th and later it changed to "we scheduled your oath ceremony" on April 11th. So a total of 18 days.

thx for that info...most people here including some friends got scheduled in a day or two, the most a week in NYC. Strange that it took so long. Guess there aren't many NYC filers here.

I'm a US citizen. Oath on 4/15 in Duluth, MN. After my interview, the interviewer gave me an option to have the ceremony in St. Paul. But I opted for the default location in Duluth since it has a set date.

Had my oath ceremony yestetday at the LA convention center! I feel a great sense of relief and safety. I'll update my timeline later this week. My mind is still processing the experience.
