Iv just done step 4 which was notification of applicant readiness, my question is how long have people been waiting from this step to having the interview.

Reason being i am planning on going to the states on a esta (3 months) and was trying to get an idea of when to book the return ticket to come back for the interview.

Not sure why you are doing readiness form and posting in the IR1/CR1 forum. Is this DCF by chance?

You can look at this thread and the times it has taken other people. Most are K1, but IF you are DCF it would be the same wait. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/549078-medical-to-interview-date-how-long-2015-data/?p=7792241

It says medical to interview date because most submit the readiness before going to the medical. The time starts from whatever gets there last, so in your case the readiness form maybe.

Hello,

I received my case complete from the NVC on the 28th July, I booked my medical soon after and completed my medical on the 12th August in London.

I received an email on the 28th August giving me an interview at the London Embassy on the 22nd September.

If you have a case complete from the NVC you should book your medical before you go to America.

I would look into booking an open return flight, you would need to contact the airlines directly to do this.
