Teeak, I have question. Do I still need to send a copy of my parents nbi clearance to nvc? Thank you!

Yes, send a copy to NVC. I didn't mention in my previous post, but, marriage and birth certificate copies are also required. Be sure to send copies to NVC since they will need to bring originals to the interview.

Here's the link from NVC explaining what type of certificate to get:

Yea, if you've already gotten the IV invoice then you can go ahead and pay it. That way, they'll be able to process it and the DS-260 will open up. My suggestion is that you should submit the DS-260 as soon as you mail the documents to NVC.

Yes, you can complete it before submitting the fee. Yes, you need to send copy of all marriage and divorce certificates.

NBI clearance is the police certificate for the Philippines. For Venezuela, this link will tell you how to obtain the police certificate: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/VE.html

You can send the packet after paying the AOS fee BUT, before paying the IV fee or you can send it after both have been paid. The only requirement to send the docs is that the AOS fee has to be paid.

Teeak, how can I pay the IV fees? There is no amount. Looks like in online my parents name is not incthe applicant name yet and total amount is 0$. What is that mean? Thank you!

How long has it been since you submitted the COA form? Usually, they will send the IV invoice after they've reviewed it which is about 1-2 weeks after submission. You can also call NVC and have them review it over the phone and they will invoice the IV fee for you right away.

Its ok. I also have a lot of question. Lol Im glad teeak is helping us too. Nbi is just like a police clearance in the philippines but it is nationwide data information. unlike the police clearance i think it is only with in your city.

You may receive the invoice sometime next week but, Monday is also a holiday so maybe a bit later.

Yes, it will say that. It usually takes like 10-15 tries to get through. The trick is, if you hear the voice without any ringing, hang up right away and call again (a lot easier when using a smartphone since you dont need to dial). If you hear ringing and then the voice, that means your call has gone through and you just need to follow the options and wait for a representative.
