I am filing out form I-864. My form is dated 07/02/2015. I am having some issues filling out Part 5. Item Numbers 1, 2 and 8 are greyed out and I cannot insert any number. It is driving me nuts. Anyone having this issue? Please help me solve this issue.

You do not enter anything in 1, 2 or 8. These fields are automatically filled in by the form.

#1 is filled in based on your answer in part 3

#2 is always 1 (yourself)

#8 is the total from 1 to 7

Thanks for the fast reply. Item number 8 does not let me enter the total. that field is also disabled. It would not even auto populate. Even item numbers 1 and 2 do not autofill or auto populate.

Try updating your Adobe reader. The latest version should allow it to auto populate...at least it does on mine.

Someone mentioned that this happened to them because they disabled JavaScript in Adobe Reader

Hello everyone. I need some help.

I have a $0 income. According to uscis website, it says i can use the intending immigrant assets to meet the minimum income requirements. My wife lives overseas and she is financially stable and she has enough the meet the minimum income requirements. Can I show her overseas bank statement? Also since i have zero income, how much does she need to show? On the uscis site it says $19,912 for a household size of 2.

Sponsors of spouses and children of U.S. citizens must only prove assets valued at three times the difference between the poverty guideline and actual household income.

Does it mean her bank statement should show $19,912 x 3 = $59,736

Her income that doesn't continue after immigrating to the US doesn't count. So it's just your assets + her assets. Yes, if the assets total more than $19,912 x 3 then that should be enough.

All assets used must be in the USA
