Hi Guys, nice to be back here, I failed to update my timeline because I was busy since my wife was already here. Its come to the time that I started to prepare for I-751, I know its too early to file but its good to prepare now for ROC. Now, as I am reading other people's posts receiving RFEs (they have more evidence), I am worried that we don't have enough evidence regarding co-mingling of finances, Here's my case:

My wife and I got married Aug. 2013. Been together since 2010 but known each other since late 90s. (neighbors in Philippines)

She got her GC April 2014.

Wife and Daughter (K-2) GCs gonna expire April 2016.

We have 2 kids.(8 and 4yo) 8yo is my wife's daughter (K-2), 4yo is our daughter (LPR).

Both kids go to school and we are listed as parents (of course).

Me and my wife filed our taxes jointly 2014, 2013.

We don't have joint bank accounts. (have separate checking)

I do have a capital one credit card w/ my wife as an authorized user.

We only have health insurance through Covered California - Medi-Cal.

We do not have other life insurance.

We own 1 car (under my name) and lease another one (my name) both insured under my name with my wife as additional driver.

We don't have any other joint accounts.. (gym, costco, etc..) :(

We live together at my brother's apartment, I just pay him half the rent in cash, but the lease is only under his name.

Utility bill is under my brother's name as well, I pay him half too.

Phone Bills, we're on the same plan but under my Mother's name which I just pay with cash too.

We only earn enough just to survive our day to day lives.

What we have is our love for each other, our kids and our marriage. I don't know what to show them. Are we screwed? Please help.

Do you have joint car insurance? Have you considered making healthcare power of attorney or wills? The latter two can be done at minimal cost online (for example legalzoom.com). Also, have you considered including photos from various timepoints? Although affidavits are secondary in nature, you could consider including those, one from your brother explaining your living situation and couple others from friends who attest to seeing you together at various social events etc.

I don't think you're screwed because you've been together since 2010 and knew each other since the 90's. You *may* get an interview but if you do, just arm yourself with evidence that reflects your relationship from back in the 90s. For now though, just focus on gathering evidence from the time she became a resident.

Well I have her as an additional driver under my car insurance policy. We are considering making those 2 and thanks for the link, will check it out. For photos, we have a lot over the years. The affidavits sure I can provide those. Hopefully having 2 kids is strong enough to prove to them that we're married in good faith. I dont think I can prove to them that we've known each other back in the 90s since we were not that close and just neighbors and kids then. Thank you for the help.

I would open a joint savings account. My husband and I have separate checking, but we have a joint savings account. You can also get a cheap life insurance at your job if they offer it. I pay less than $5 per paycheck for my husband and I.

The best documentation you can provide is "money linked to your marriage" i.e. Property you own together (Send property deed showing both names), vehicles you own together (Send vehicle title that shows both names) same for Health insurance, Life insurance, Taxes filed etc. etc. All these things hold stronger as evidence than postcards and photographs. Anyone can take pictures but only married people who are in it for the long term would have their spouses names on property etc.

If you are thin on the evidence at least send a letter explaining why. Explain what you have why you have it and what you don't have. They'll understand. :)
