A while back someone posted a volunteer organization website where you can search volunteer positions in just about any geographical area. Since I am unable to perform a search :angry: , due to some unknown problem here....perhaps user overload, I have to make this post.

09-17-08- Married

10-29-08: File AOS, EAD, AP

01-15-09: EAD Approved

02-26-09: Biometrics Appt.

03-07-09: EAD card received via mail

03-20-09: AOS approved

03-28-09: Greencard arrives via mail

Hi Wendy,

Good luck on your immigration journey. In addition to looking at websites, how about also try looking at your local area newspapers, flyers, posters, ogranizations, clubs, or ask people in the community where you are living at, etc., for volunteer opportunities.....

Lol...How I got my volunteer opportunities here in the USA: I simply asked around town...

2009 ( 2 Months N-400 Wait) "Naturalized": US Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization. Goodbye USCIS!!!!

***Ant is a Naturalized American Citizen!!***: November 23, 2009 (Private Oath Ceremony: USCIS Office, Buffalo, NY, USA)

2009 (<1 Month) "Secured": US Citizen SSN Card.

2009 (<1 Month) "Enhanced": US Citizen NYS 8-Years Enhanced Driver's License. (in lieu of a US Passport)

2010 ( 1 Month) "Voted": US Citizen NYS Voter's Registration Card.

I'm patiently :ranting: waiting on our interview date!!!

I appreciate your responses. I am trying to prepare some productive activities or at least have a long list of options to combat the boredom when my honey gets here.

Hi Wendy,

"You're Welcome". Good luck on your interview date and your search for other activities and volunteer activities too. I agree, it's good to keep busy with other activities while waiting for the immigration process to be completed. By doing other activities, it is also a good opportunity to get to know other people in the community and to get to know your SO/spouse better too!
