Good morning V'Jers,

I checked CRI89 case status on the USCIS website yesterday morning and here is what I got:
"On August 28, 2015, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number EAC#######, at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

August 28 is also the date on the NoA stating that case was tranferred from VSC to CSC..

Is this a glicht from the USCIS system or does it mean that case is sent back to my local field which I assume is the Baltimore field office since I reside in Maryland.

It is kind of confusing.
In one case or the other what does it means?
Does anyone has any idea what is going on?
What is the next step?

Please help.

Regards,

I'm in the same boat as you... I searched online and this is what came up...

This status indicates that the application has been moved to your local USCIS office. This means that the adjudicating officer (AO) has moved the application to your local field office to have an interview by an Interviewing officer (IO).

Couple possible reasons:

1. USCIS Service may be having a heavy load to process, hence balancing the load with their field officers.

2. AO wants to validate the applicant in person before taking the decision.

3. AO may have concerns on the details provided in application which needs to be validated.

USCIS has lots of process which is unclear to any outsider so feel comfortable even if you get an interview. You can go through the AOS Interview related threads to make yourself comfortable. Most of the times (as per the posts provided by users) the interview is very simple. Be prepared, comfortable and confident.

You may need to wait for an interview letter to know what documents to be carried to them (mostly you need to carry all originals, Photo album (if married)).

'If' you get an interview and you have kids, pls take them along with you. That way the conversation some times will be different as it shows that your marriage is bonafide.

Not much we can do atm.....

Ok thanks. Guess I will just wait for the interview letter. Mine got transferred just like he's got transferred on the same date. So I guess is kind of a standard thing right now.
