You saw this man once in your entire life for two weeks and you are going to get married to him,or you are too brave or too naive.Oh yeah face time can tell a lot about someone, deception is very common because we can hide behind the screen

Did you talk to his parents? siblings?did he show his house through the skype etc? do you know where he works, how much he makes per year? not knowing these basic things the relationship heads toward disaster.Did you check his background in the USA to see if he have some criminal past?

I know him and everything about him very well and so does my family. And ofcourse I know where he works and how much he earns as I was the one who sent off his i134 plus pay stubs and tax returns to the embassy. He has me in his life insurance as beneficiary and plans on adding me to 401k as the beneficiary as well.

You should try to meet him more though. Both for yourself and for your application. Time is tight yes, but I'm not entirely sure they will grant you a visa after only 1 short visit.

There could be some complications as you did not spend enough time with him but I wish u best of luck for your interview :) My wife is Caucasian white but our case is little bit different than yours. She stayed with me in the UK for over a month and then in Pakistan we got married. She stayed in Pakistan for two years and there wasn't any security issue instead people loved her and she felt at home :)

I can't say for sure what will happen for your case, but I can tell you what happened for me and my fiance. I went to Pakistan (had a great time no issues!) I stayed with my fiance and his family for three weeks. I had to go back because the visa I had only lasted for one month and I did not want to over stay.

I was denied two visit visas after this and have yet to be back to Pakistan.

My fiance had his interview and they were tough, but they did not ask why did we not see each other more. They were more focused on why did he choose to marry a white American instead of having an arranged marriage to a Pakistani girl.

We did not have a big age difference though so I would advise to be prepared to talk about that.

We had three months of AP. It's different for each case but I would say to at least mentally prepare yourself that they may want to do more research after the interview.

I hope everything goes well for you and you can be with your fiance soon Insha Allah!

Thank you for your kind wishes. I am not worried about questions about our relationship. We have nothing to hide and we are madly in love with each other and our families know all about it and are supportive of it. I think in my case a consent letter from my parents would be beneficial considering the cultural background.

P.S. CO would have to be blind to not be able to see how much in love we are in the pictures we sent to them.

I will add my experience too, but I would suggest focus mostly on proof of relationship - not so much lovey dovie stuff. Bring the beneficiary designation for his insurance and 401(k). You need to prove ongoing relationship, not so much love, and if you have anything from the beginning of your relationship date stamped with 2011, definitely bring that.

Our relationship has been a year, we only got the chance to meet for a week in Dubai (after a real headache of getting his UAE visa) and this was only one visit. I'm European descent, we're different religions and we have about a six year age difference. They asked my guy good questions, (not numerous) but were respectful. They didn't accept our photos, Skype logs or phone card records. (Much evidence was included in the petition file already).

He brought some lovey notes we had in Facebook, but he also had three message count from Facebook, and I was able to include a screen shot of our first contact with each other. We also included messages from conversations he had with my sister and conversations I had with his older brother. I think proving family involvement is positive. Do it - especially as a woman.

Yes, each case is really different, but remember what the USEM is trying to determine and provide proof on why you qualify on those grounds. They don't have time to look at pounds of evidence so try to be as concise as possible. Bring everything you think is pertinent. Spousal and fiance visas have a very low rate of denial. The chances of AP are very high, but hey, I'm glad that's safeguard is there.

Show them dad is satisfied! Include that "Family Facebook" group and have your dad specifically state why he accepts this guy as his future son-in-law.

Edit: I also included items I had from the Dubai trip, such as where I added him as family to the Skywards thing with Emirates and the letter I sent him in case they gave him any problems about boarding the plane. I don't think Islamabad will be too concerned about the less visits. I included in my statement on how we met that we both don't see dating as a short-term relationship; that our views is that it's a serious commitment intended to lead to marriage. In our situation, it was only appropriate to end communication or to be engaged because of how we felt for each other.

Very good points. I am planning on taking 30 photos with me which include a few from engagement ceremony in UK and others are selfies or taken by my sister of us. I have included 4 pictures of my sister with us as well. I am kicking myself for not taking a picture of three of us or at least him and my sister on her birthday which we celebrated together in UK. I will add a few video shots from Skype of me and him plus him and my family. A few one on one chats between him and my sis plus viber calls between them. Consent letter from my dad and mom. I already sent a letter from sister in the original packet which stated that he stayed at her place and that she arranged for the engagement party and enclosed the venue receipt etc.

I will add some relationship stuff from our first K1 visa application which includes some emails and gift receipts etc. Other than that I am printing our call record of the past 6 months from skype, fb messenger and hangout dialer, few emails like on new year and our engagement anniversary, e card, postal cards scans (sent by me to him).

Does this sound good enough?

Isn't the requirement to having met once within 2 years of the filing of i129f?

That's the requirement to even be eligible to apply for the visa. USCIS decides if you're eligible, State decides if you get it or not (note, you'll see all of the questions about "having met once in the past two years" on USCIS documents and websites, or on State's websites, but referencing USCIS's requirements). State decides yes or no based on a variety of factors, the major one being if they believe your relationship is genuine or not. One of the things that helps prove a genuine relationship is face time.

So you did meet that requirement, and now you are applying for the visa. But meeting the minimum requirement set out by USCIS doesn't guarantee that State will give you the visa. I'm sure that people have been approved after only meeting once for a few weeks. In fact, I'm certain of it (one such couple wound up on 90 Day Fiance). It all depends on the interviewer and how you present your relationship.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

I would suggest separating the pictures and put the ones with sister in back. It would be great if they were date stamped, but the photos of you two together are stronger evidence. If the CO already "checked yes" on your UK visit, they might not care about that too much longer.

Also separate the relationship evidence in a separate folder from the financial support. Then in your relationship folder, put the strongest evidence first. Handwritten letters are awesome. They didn't accept the ones I sent my guy after the petition was filed under the window, but they had copies of older ones in the petition. It sounds like you have a good set; try to make it easily accessible and quick to look at, such as printing on both sides of the paper for call records.

Make sure all your stuff calls it an engagement party - just in case the USEM suspects you married in UK.

To people who think meeting him more is so ooo important: I don't dispute that but trust me, people can hide whatever they don't want u to know. A guy dated a girl in the same city for 5 years and killed her 1 week after marriage.

As for the interview be bold and honest. My interview was approved last month as one other lady who was there. She met her husband online. He proposed on phone, they planed the wedding on phone, they meet just once and that was during the wedding. He only stayed for 1 month, she was sincere and she got the approval. My country is highly scrutinised by CO'S as yours.

Your case is unique as many other cases here, but if the intention is genuine and you are sincere, it is possible.

Good luck

You have satisfied the requirement of the I-129F: having met in the previous two years. That's why your petition was approved.

Now, you must convince the Consulate/Embassy that you are in a genuine, ongoing relationship. You can do this in a number of ways:

- Screenshots of FaceTime/Skype records

- Screenshots of text messages

- Letters you have sent each other

- Any money transfers that may have occurred to assist each other

He does not need to be there.
