Hi I just submitted my paperwork to USCIS with money order on 31 Aug and I just realized that I have put Pay to USCIS California Service Centre instead of US Department of Homeland Security. I need advise how am I going to retrieved the money order to make an amendment? Please help

If they don't cash it and send it back, you simply take it to where you purchase it from and get a new one, at least thats the case at the post office, not sure if banks will work with you on that. If you don't receive it back from USCIS chance are they cashed it.

My bank allows name changes on cashier's checks/money orders so I am assuming that this is a common practice. When they send it back just get a new one made out. Good luck!

Dear all, thanks for your advise. I got my money order from the usps post office so not sure they allowed to make name changes. I will have to call usps tmr early morning. Anyone encounter money order name changes problem with usps?

Look on the receipt that was attached to the money order for the refund process. It might involve sending it to a separate location which can take time, so you might need to purchase a new one if you can't wait. The process varies so hopefully it is an easy one. Best of luck!
