Hey, Mychelle!

My family moved there when I was about 7 - parents wanted us kids to experience the country life. We raised a few steer, chickens, goats, one sheep, ducks, turkeys and lots of vegetables and fruits on huge acre and a quarter lot. Gilbert used to be the cotton capital of the world - our neighborhood was surrounded by fields of alfalfa. But that was 1974 - it's since become another suburb of Phoenix. The weather had it's ups and downs. I used to to ride my bike for miles in the hot afternoon summer sun without dying. I don't know if I could do it now though.
